Pastor Tiller was pastoring in Reynoldsburg, OH (Columbus area) and is a great man of God. He took a troubled church and turned it around, and it is now a great revival church. (My mother attended this church for the last 5-6 years until her death this past February. Pastor Tiller and the church family took great care of my mother, and I am very thankful for their compassion and faithfulness.)

My Question is, someone called me and informed me that he had just resigned his church and has left. Just wondering if anyone knows where he is headed to, and/or if he has already accepted a church elsewhere.

He has resigned. I was going to visit with him one Wednesday night that I didn't have anywhere schedulded to be at. I called him that afternoon and spoke to him trying to get directions from the part of Columbus I was at to exactly where he was. He asked that I not visit that night because he was going to resign. I hear through the grapevine that he at the last minute decided to to stay until that following weekend.

I am not positive where he went. I hear he has went to his FIL's church in KY.

I honestly can't say. I have heard from one source that Bro. Paul Cook at Turnpoint in Groveport, OH was trying to oversee it. Maybe someone from Ohio can verify either way.

I had heard that recently while preaching around Ohio. I had not heard that from him so couldn't say my information was 100% accurate.

It is doing well. I am helping them somewhat.

I had heard that the church was "asking" for RT's resignation.

FOR THE RECORD:

Ron Tiller is one of my closest friends. I can tell you some things with absolute certainty as I preached for him two weeks before his resignation, knew about the impending resignation before it happened and have talked to him several times since his resignation.

1. He was NOT asked to leave by anybody. He did have a few disgruntled folks rise up against him about 4 months earlier. When I preached there recently those who had left had already been replaced by new people and the Church couldn't have been happier with him.

2. He is going back to Carrolton to pastor. It's the city he's originally from and the city his Father in Law Pastored in.

3. I, perhaps, may not do things exactly like Bro. Tiller but, ultimately, he is a lover of truth and an impeccibly sincere man.

Of those things you can be 100% sure.

Agreed! (bold section) and Thank you Steadfast for your input, I had forgotten that you and Pastor Tiller were close friends.

I just heard that he had resigned and left and it caught me off guard, and I figured someone here could verify if it was indeed true, and where he may have went.

I was able to casually get to know brother Tiller at their camp meeting. He seemed to be a man of hi character and principle. I also got to know a few people in his church. They had much love and respect for he and his wife.

I was surprised to hear that he resigned, they were having revival, the church was doing great under his ministry.

Thanks for clearing the air! At least you shared the "pulpit" side of the story. There is always a "pew" side as well. How do I know? Because I've experienced it myself.

It's very difficult to be an Ultra-Con in Columbus, OH! :D

Nothing like the pull of family to move one along. It seems to be a common occurance. I wish him well. It will be difficult for that church to replace him.

I never understood why the need for a plethora of upci churches in that area since most of them are mediocre at best. I can think of 2 to 3 churches in that area that are experiencing church growth without the relocating of disgruntled saints.

It's ironic that Rod Parsley's church is less than 15 minutes from Tiller's former church in one direction amd less than 15 minutes from Cook's church in another direction. Even with great pillars of truth in that area, about a dozen of Parsley's Bible college students travel two hours south to attend our church. Makes me wonder who is dropping the ball in central Ohio and why....

Everyone's replaceable. It simply depends upon what they are looking for and really need. :D

I have just recently, accidently come across this website. I attend G.A. where Bro. Tiller pastored for nearly 10 years. I do not know all the details about his departure, any last minute decisions to stay or why he and E.D.P. have resigned their UPC license. I will say the as Pastor, Bro. Tiller was an incredible man of God and he is missed. I may have done things differently, but the fact is, he chose to leave. God has someone for our church and I thank any of you that pray for God's Will in Reynoldsburg.

Ok HERE IT IS! E.D.P. took a group and split from K.M.'s church. Even though E.D.P. is getting a retirement from the church he has started another one across town. R.T. has gone back to his hometown to take the split. He turned in his UPC lic.
THERE IT IS!
