Yes, the Lord willing. The Cowboys are out, I hope they are vindicated by the Gaints beating New England.

If the pastor takes me to applebees early enough
if we do hospital visits then i can sit in the waiting room
if we get "invited" to a friends or saints house that just happens to have TV
if i can get the rabbit ears adjusted enough(does tinfoil really help?)

The Superbowl is the only NFL game I watch, most years. We'll be at our friends' house. Last two years, had the same friends over to our house. It's a tradition. Yes. I am mired in tradition. :heeheehee

R U Tennesseans aware of this from Wikipedia?

Jerry Reese who is the current general manager of the New York Giants is a native of Tiptonville, Tennessee, where he played for the Lake County Falcons' 1980 state champion 1-A high school football team. He then played for the University of Tennessee at Martin where he was later an assistant coach before taking a job as a scout for the New York Giants.

Read this article. Jerry knows about hog killing, too. LOL

If your preaching Super Bowl Sunday night, and a few folks yell "hallelujah!" in the middle of one of your deep thoughts, they "might" have been text messaged a touchdown score! :D

I'll be preaching for a neighboring pastor next Sunday...but unfortunately (oh, dear), he only has one service at mid-day. So, I'll be at my brother's house with 12 others for a Super Bowl party...with shrimp gumbo and rice...and all the fixins'...yum...yum...

Go Eli...

Nope I for one will not watch some blood sport. There was no leather skin that died for me.
I am not a dual religionist.Football is not my religion nore my God.
Love not the world nore the things of the world, if ye love the world or the things of the world then the love of the father, is not in you.
A man cannot serve two masters.he wil either love the one or hate the other.
Aman cannot serve both God and Mammon.
Children keep your selves away from Idols.
Be ye Holy for I am Holy.
Please dont be my enemy just because I tell you truth.

No way! I'd rather watch Manchester United (otherwise nicknamed the "red devils") play a good soccer match in the FA Cup or English Premier league or better yet, the UEFA cup! Ok....if not Man Utd, maybe Liverpool, or Arsenal or Chelsea then!

Football and soccer is not my religion either but I JOLLY WELL ENJOY IT! Haha! I used to have that old mindset that God did not like sports and it consumed me too much at one time in my life as a youngster but I find that sports is a huge benefit to keeping kids occupied and out of trouble.....at least to a very good extent. You should reconsider your thoughts on this. Your scripture is well regarded but not in context with sports. :stirpot

I live in Boston, and I know things are going to be wild, especially if the Patriots win. I will NOT be watching the game, and I hope the Patriots lose, just so there's no big parade or traffic through Boston, so I can get to work easier! lol

GOD BLESS!
