To have that many Presbyterian trinitarians accept the oneness is miraculous. I've never seen that before. I know it happens, but I've never been involved in it before. And that is only the seed that was planted. Who knows what fruit will come of it. I know that the two UPCI people who were in attendance were floored!
I trust that things are moving forward for you folks!!!!!!

Yeah, well, you probably know about chair and the Oriental culture! If you're not used to it, especially while eating, your legs can't take it! I did everything they did out of respect but it wasn't always easy.
Can't say that I have acquired a taste for octopus!! But I did eat it along with a lot of other stuff like sea weed and moss and a bunch of other stuff that I have absolutely no idea what it was! :D

Seeds of truth are always powerful!!!
Yes, and that is amazing that it happens even when we don't put "our" labels on those seeds.
In my teaching, I never used the word oneness and used the words trinity and trinitarian a number of times. I told them that their definition of the Trinity needed refining. They not only accepted that statement, they accepted the oneness doctrine of God from a Jewish perspective as that refinement with joy and tears. I told them that our challenge as Christians was to hold to the Father, Son, Holy Ghost of the NT and not violate the Shema (Deut. 6:4) of the OT. They got it.....big time!!!
So, do I care if someone calls themselves a trinitarian yet believes the oneness doctrine? Not for a minute!!!Truth is what is important, not the labels. :D

When I visited my son in October, I preached for a UPCI pastor and also taught a short class at a Seminary lead by a former UPCI pastor. They liked what they heard and wanted me to come back. Definitely a God thing.

MOW - - that is wonderful!
I'm sure your ability to articulate what you studied and their willingness to learn more was the reason!
God is so good!

I'm curious. Why did you pick him? I was thinking it was the tall guy in the middle back.
Did you pick him because of the shine on his forehead????
