Today i got a newsletter from my kids school..Heres what it says:
Dear Parents, Beginning February 11, we will be initiating a new method of student identification with the breakfast and lunch program.
At the beginning of this school year a BIO METRIC identification system was installed in the JR/SR High. This method of idetifying students and staff has worked very well, and now we will be installing it in the elemetary school.
BIO METRIC works by reading a fingerprint, then turns the fingerprint into a number. The process of turning the print into a number makes it virtually impossible to copy or access the print by any means.
We plan on starting the scanning process to put the prints into our system on February 6. If you have any questions how tyhe scanning will be done, please contact me. Thankyou Sharri Shivly.
If this isnt crazy i dont know what is? No its not the Mark..But it does not sit well with me..I dont call my pastor over shrivolous stuff, but tonight i called him . He was pretty suprised and reassured me it was not the mark, but we are getting closer and closer..he said its probably to protect the kids..etc..
Yeah, i know..But now my kids will be in BIG BROTHERS DATA Bank! I didnt say that! He said i could definitely go ask questions, and its my decison what to do, and also if he thought it was going to hurt the kids he would be the first one down at the school..
Am i freaking out or what>>
I am not a doomer gloomer...But i live in a small town..This is a smaller school..What does everyone think? Can you give me some advice? Thanks,Summer!!

I guess you need to find out if it is mandatory or if you can refuse to let your child/children be put into this new system.

I think you are right to be concerned. They don't need that especially in a small town. If there are other church people's kids involved I would get everyone together with the pastor and go talk to the Sup. of the school.
I think a Christian school is the best option, then home schooling.
But see what others on here think.

Fingerprinting is the way to go. I have to be fingerprinted to even work as a nurse.
I'm ok with it. What's the harm?

What you're seeing may very well be some of the unintended consequences of the Patriot Act. There was so much money being flung around early on in the name of homeland security, and some rural communities ended up with hundreds of thousands of dollars budgeted, with the requirement that the money be spent on homeland-security-related things.
Some of it made sense, like fences around public reservoirs, and some of ended up being just downright silly. Places that would make Mayberry look like metropolis were faced with the choice of spend it or lose it, so they spent the money on things that at best are completely incongruous with the true threat level that their jurisdiction faces, and at worst will never be used. Things like SWAT vehicles, bomb disposal gear, hovercraft, and, yep, you guessed it, extra security systems.
Or, I could be completely off base and your area is, unbeknownst to you, swarmed with sex offenders, fourth-grade mafia, or quarreling ex-wives and ex-husbands that have been deemed high risk for absconding with their own children in violation of the court's custody rulings.

And, umm, we home school, so the only fingerprint problems we experience is with peanut butter fingerprints on the school papers!

They have this system at the Day Care where my grandchild goes. You can not get in the door with out putting your hand in the scanner. When my finger prints and code number match then the door will unlock.

They were already there with the social # and the fact that they are in public school. God hasn't given us the spirit of fear. Fear will destroy any logic and reasoning you have. Gird up your mind and trust God, let go of the fear. Running and hiding in the hills isn't the answer the Bible says to occupy till he comes. We are to be the light of the world, can't do that running away from everything technological.

Yes, I live in Mayberry~ I live about 2 hours from Chicago, but still i dont live in a BIG city, that makes alot of sense..I was really praying about it, i called my pastor and he said alot of the sam ethings everyone here said..If he thought our kids were in danger, he said he would be the first one down at the school..So, i understand~Thankyou KAE--That is one thing that came to my mind as i was pondering and praying about it, and thats right i have not been given the spirit of fear! On ereason i want my kids in public school is not for a babysitter, but because they are lights of the world..2 have already been filled with teh HOly Ghost and i pray for them before they leave every morning! God is sooo good! I am not normally like this~I dont freak out~But i guess when it comes to my kids--i did feel the fear! But i`m okay now..Thanks everyone and God Bless!

This is the way I clock in and out at work. I type in the last four digits of my social security number and then slide my hand in a scanner. I have to admit, I have those "big brother" and "mark of the beast" feelings when I slide my hand through there, but I know that it's not - it's just another step in that direction.
They are introducing a pilot project in B.C. & in Washington State whereby our passport
will be in a micro chip in our respective License Plates!
It can be read by scanners before you even approach the border!
Is it just me or is this a little to Orwellian????

If have to put your whole hand into it then it's a hand scanner and does not scan or even read your finger prints.
What it does is measures your hand. I've installed these things and there is really no harm in it. In fact next time use your left hand, but you have to flip it over. Your left and right hand are the same size on most people. If it works then you know that they don't have your prints.

I actually do not think this is a bad idea.... and costs have certainly come down.

It does seem intrusive at a certain level. Just out of curiosity, if nothing else, I would ask where the biometric information is to be stored and what other agencies would have access to it.
Like it or not, your kids will eventually have this same info recorded when they get their driver's license. You're probably already in there too.
I wouldn't worry too much about "Big Brother's Data Bank" since there is no real "Big Brother" and thus no such databank. But the way various organizations, governmental bodies and law enforcement agencies are continuing to collect info on people is uncomfortable at times.
On the bright side, some of the intrusions are lessening in places. I just started a new job at a Fortune 500 company and for the first time since I can remember I wasn't sent down to a lab for drug screening. I don't have anything to hide there, but it's just plain weird to have to bring something out from the bathroom. We close that door to try and maintain the illusion that we still have some dignity.

Speaking as someone who has worked in factories his whole life, I want more drug screening, not less. Those forklift drivers may not be out for blood, but they do keep score.
Alternately, they may have screened you for drugs without you knowing it if they were able to pick up a strand of hair that you shed.

Hmm... now I'm in a dilemma. I don't have enough hair left in the front to cover that 'HaShem' tatoo and I can't afford the laser surgery to get it removed.

I am assuming it is for security purposes. But the thing about that is, most school shootings and violence is done by students. So they would already be in the system. Other than that I can't think of why they would need to have that information in a databank. Maybe for identification purposes in case of bombings, natural disasters etc.

Just like the long lines and upgraded security procedures in airports, it's just something that is done for splash and flash to make all the sheeple feel like the problem is being taken seriously and something is being done. All the while any intelligent person can see that none of these measures are capable of stopping somebody whose desire to kill exceeds their desire to live. Remember when they found that huge number of cargo handlers at Miami international were illegals? There's a back door to be exploited in every such situation.
It's all part of the implementation of the nanny state.

I saw an Ervin Baxter video recently in which he brought up some very interesting facts regarding biometrics and the upcoming Real ID card that will be reality on May 11, 2008. This Real ID card would be a worldwide global ID and this card would be needed in order to work, buy and sell. In Revelation chapter 13 it was written that the mark would be on the hand or forehead. The biometrics that would be encoded on the Real ID card would be a finger and eye scan. Everyone knows that the finger is located on the hand and the eye is located on the forehead.
The video below was from that conference and Brother Baxter started speaking of the Real ID card around 2:25. I viewed all of the videos from that conference on youtube and if you were interested in prophecy, I would highly recommend you view them too.

Sure. A national driver's license. This plan would cut down on fraud including the voter fraud that threatens our democracy. I don't see how the current proposals would enable anyone to "track" you any more than your state currently "tracks" you.

I'm concerned about I.B. and his often alarmist predictions that have all gone the way of the previous generation's 666 conspiracy theories. Supposedly, in the 1960's there was "The Beast" in Belgium. A supercomputer that was going to track everyone and "enforce" the mark of the beast.
Well, where's the "Beast?" Fact of the matter is, 40 years later I probably have more computing power in my home network than "The Beast" in Belgium has or had; and I certainly have no desire nor ability to track anyone.
What if we held the "Prophecy Preachers" to the same standards that we hold the "Magic Hair" proponents? We'd probably see many of the same types of superstitions at work.

By 'track', I meant see everywhere I go, everything I do, things like that.
I know there are lots of ways that I'm already tracked, like when I use my credit card to buy things, or even using the discount card at the grocery store.
And I know they take my pic when I drive in the I-PASS lane when I visit Illinois and I don't have an I-PASS......LOL!

I haven't been presented with this in my state, but a friend had a run-in with the DMV when she simply asked about what their plans were for the Real ID act. A supervisor was called and he started giving her the third degree, wanting to know where she had heard about it and how she knew! Finally he looked at her and said, "there is no such thing" and walked off.

I am opposed to the biometric tracking... but let me say it this way... if i had to be scanned to get to the Krispy Kreme counter.... and the red light was on (meaning the doughnuts are hot!) I think I would let them implant a 5 lb module!

I will not get a National ID Card! There are several states that are refusing to go along with Homeland Security and if everyone refuses then we can beat this thing. This isn't about keeping terrorists or illegals out of the country it is about controlling the population. Research this issue for yourself so that you can make the right decision.
Their ultimate goal is to make our country into a police state!

Do you think you aren't already being controlled by the government?
We already have lots of things in place that have been around for years now that are leading up to the mark of the beast as it's taught in the church.
I'm not planning on sticking around for it though, and I'm sure you aren't either. :D
