How do I stop getting logged out!

I would like to know why I am logged out so often. If someone posts a web site in a thread and I go watch it, when I come back I'm logged out. If I answer the phone and don't change from one thread to another every two or three minutes I get logged out. Do I have something set wrong or what is causing this. I get wore out logging back in every time I check out something someone puts in their thread. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you check mark "Remember me" when you log in?

If you do, then the problem could be with your browser. Does it save your passwords for other sites?

Sometimes it's caused by having a bad cookie. Try dumping temp files then log in again and click the remember me box before you sign in.

I will try that. I don't usually use the remember me function because then I really forget my passwords. Thanks

You're not the only one that forgets passwords. :D I have an "Internet Buddy" webjournal that my sister gave to me as a gift. It's a wonderful thing to keep up with the websites I use regularly-- the user IDs and passwords for each one. If you can find one, it's a great little thing to have. :)

I use the same username and password for most places I visit. The password is the same, anyway.
