Since the good people on AFF posts their blog, I might as well start a thread/blog on here, to balance the good (the rest of y'all) with the bad (me).

After my preaching Wednesday night, I was spent. Many said the Lord used me, and I am grateful. However, now looking back, I see some physical problems with me that need addressing. So, today I start something new...

My Mom works at a local Middle School. She has grasped permission for me to use the weight room after hours to work out. I need the exercise. Wednesday night left me too drained, and it is time for me to get serious about my health again. So, today I start a new workout regiment for at least twice to three times a week, as well as something I love...

I am getting all my hair cut off of my head as well.

:reaction

This will be my Mom's reaction when she sees me this afternoon. Oh well, she was having a bad day anyway.

:runhills

So, this is the first of my Big Mouth postings. Love all y'all on AFF!

Go for it BP!
Take care of that temple that the Holy Ghost inhabits. Preaching, even under the anointing, can leave you feeling like you've spent eight hours of hard labor. I'm not inclined toward the super-short haircuts but that's your choice. I would remember how weak a short-haired Samson became. :)
It was great to hear all the good reports of your preaching last week. Read yourself full, pray yourself up, and preach yourself empty!

As one who fights the battle, start with a program that is doable and as you get in better shape you can do more. Weights and a little cardio is a great thing.

Worked out a little today. Just a little. legs told me that I needed some more endurance work. Will start walking some this coming week, as well as dietary changes.

Oh, got a nice flat top haircut. So, it was nice. Much love y'all!

Just take it nice and slow brother Price, walking and swimming are both great ways to exercise.

Can't swim. Beach patrol wants to call Wildlife Rescue every time I do. They confuse me with a stray whale for some reason. :ursofunny

Great news about your plans to get in shape! You got some good advice here on your thread. Many years ago while living in Northern California, I was a long distance runner and I ended up paying for all the abuse I did to my joints, especially my right hip.

Walking is a great way to burn calories. When I moved to Houston to attend college, I stopped running/working out and I gained nearly fifty pounds. One day after out growing another size of pants, I decided to do something about it just like you.

I started prayer walking after hearing Richard G from San Fran talk about it and prayer walking not only helped me loose weight, it was a great way to connect with God. :running::carrot::walking::situps::treadmill:

Exercise with weight loss will help you control your diabetes also. Some people can control it so well that they can go off meds and insulin as long as they keep up with a good diet and exercise.
