Shara McKee

Hey ya'll. My name is Shara McKee, I am new to this and feel so behind!
I'm trying to figure it all out.
My husband Rob and I pastor a wonderful church in Katy, Texas. www.thepok.com
We have two adorable daughters, Savannah Gayle and McKenna Belle, 3 and 6. I am the music director and daycare director.
Anyway, I figure I might know some people around here :party
Anyone want to steer me clear of forums or direct me to one?

Shara,
You and your husband are very kind folks.
I really enjoy your singing.

Be yourself.
That's about it.
Jump in the discussions that interest you and have yourself one good time.
We used to live in the Tomball/Magnolia area.
We went to Brother Barentine's for a while. I remember there being a "church in a day" go up in Katy.
Was that your church?
I have some friends from south of Houston that had a uncle/cousin or something like that start a church in Katy about 20 years or so ago.
We used to cut through Katy on the way to visit my hometown south of Houston. We would take Katy-Hockley to Katy to hit 99.
Anyway... welcome to the forum.

Katy has grown up emensely! You may not recognize it if you came through.
Yes we received church in a day in 2002, that building is now our daycare.
We have been in our newer building for 2 years.
Thank you for the warm welcome. =)

Sis, you might want to sit back and take notes for a while. Dicussions can get tight in here sometime. Alot of standards debates. Also it might help to know there are alot of "Charasmatics" or 'onenessish' "Charasmatics" here too. Though at the core we are all Apostolics!
Welcome and enjoy AFF.
P.s. My father-in-law saw you sing at GC in PHX several years ago and he was blown away. He bought a cd and played unitl he stopped working. He told me once that you have one of the most anointed voices in pentecost.

I have heard mention of it in the past, but never really dug into it until a pastor friend referred to it in detail this past week. My curiosity was peaked! It's a lot bigger than I imagined. I realize now that it is much broaded than just the UPC. I look forward to making new friends and reconnecting with old ones.
:hanky:hankyThank you for the clarification Dan!

I hope this doesn't embarass Sis. McKee, but my oldest son thinks she is the absolute most beautiful woman in Pentecost. He LOVES to hear her sing. Last night when I opened the thread and played that song, he was supposed to be going to sleep and said, through the wall, "Mom, was that Sis. Shara McKee?" I said "Yes." He said, "Hey, play that again. Can I come and watch?" I said "NO!!!!! Go to sleep!!!"
Anyway, he really likes her and has said he thinks she's "a very annointed and a very HOT Lady!!!! I'm gonna marry somebody like that...that can sing and has anointing and has a pretty face!!!:bliss:bliss:bliss:bliss
That's my son.:party:party:party:party:party

Wow, I signed up for this thing, then I fell off the face of the earth.
Thank you all for your posts and comments.
JR, very funny! I only ask the most hip current people for their music =)
I have decided to stop being chronically busy and stop and smell the roses.
It only takes a second to pause and appreciate the moment you're in.
Anyone find themselves rushing around so much that you miss those good "connecting moments" with the most important people in your life?

Bro. Daigle was a mentor to me and one of my best friends. We attend the FPC in Port Arthur. I preached at the storefront a couple of times. After one service we went out to eat and ended in the hospital after us getting rear-ended by Drunk drive.
Bro. Daigle is responsible for my being in church. He was actually my boss for a few years. He got me involved in bus ministry at FPC Port Arthur. I can't tell you how many Saturdays he'd come to the house and pick me up to run the bus route visitation with him. First stop was a donut shop for our lemon filled donuts a Pepsi.
What a great man.
Glad to hear Katy is doing so very well. I've prayed many a time for Bro. Skippy and the Katy church.
