Is it possible to search to just return pics or attachments, or to otherwise just see a list of the pics/attachments that are on the board, other than searching through random threads?

Go to Search at the top of the page, on the drop down menu click advanced search. In the top left hand search put in photos, and it will take you to threads with photos in them. They did not come up with anything when I searched for attachments.

I did a bit of checking the other day, but had to leave before I could respond.

What I had found was that users don't have access to the attachments file, but Admins do.

If there's a specific pic you'd like to find, we could try to search for it. You can PM me with it if you'd like.

Others have asked for this option, so it may eventually be added to vBulletin, but as far as I can tell, it's not yet.

Nothing specific at the moment, but there has been in the past. I'm glad to know that the option is there.

Can you send attachments in a private message? Like a pdf?

Not at this time. Maybe future versions of vBulletin will support it, but the only attachments are made in the forum posts.

How come some times I can attach files and some times I'm not given the option?

Is the option there, and just minimized? (Look on the right for the collapse button) Or not there at all?

Are you using two different internet browsers?

What browser(s) do you use? IE? Firefox?

I usually use Firefox but once in a while use Safari.
Right now, looking below this reply I see the "Attach Files" option below the first "Submit Reply Review Post"
and above the second "Submit Reply Review Post"
but some times that option does not appear.

I've attached lots of stuff off and on but some times I'm not given that option.

That's really strange. I'm not sure why it would do that. I didn't find anything in the help forums either.

Are you sure you're logged in when it happens?

That's kind of a dumb question, but it's the only thing I can come up with. :D

I am logged in right now.
Looking below here I see
Submit Reply Review Post"

below that is a section that is headed Additional Opitions
there is a block called miscellaneous options in which I can choose to show my signature, automatically parse links, and Disable smilies in text.

Then below that is another bloc called attach files and a heading that says
Manage Attachments.

Below that is another block with the option of subscribing or not to notification.

Then below that block are the following:
Submit Reply Preview Post

Some times when I reply to a post I do not get the option to Manage Attachments. I just don't know why.

Am I being picked on because I am a liberal?
just kidding

Is it possible it's in a particular forum section that doesn't allow attachments?

Maybe we don't have them all set up the same. :dunno

Time to sleuth! :noidea

That was the problem! :noidea

The forum permissions were set to not allow attachments in a couple of the different forum sections.

I went through and made all forum permissions to allow them, so you should be good to go.

Thanks for the help Sam! :wave

Thank you for looking into that and correcting it.
I wondered why some times I could add an attachment and some times I could not.
