I had heard about him refusing to put his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegience but had never seen it until the clip in this video of him, Hillary, and Bill Richardson on some campgain stop where everybody but him has their hand over their heart and he just stands there with his hands down.

That and refusing to wear an American flag pin until recently is just weird.

Whether or not he thinks he has a good excuse, it just plain looks bad...and makes me further question his sense of judgment.

I heard he did start wearing an American flag pin so I am assuming some of his advisors told him if he wanted to get elected he better get over his phobia of showing demonstrative pride in his country.

It will be interesting to see if he has also decided it is not such a bad thing to put your hand over your heart when saying the pledge in the general campaign now.

That _ _ _ _ that may appeal to left wing liberal elitists in New York, Chicago, and LA isn't gonna hunt in the heartland!

Cause he is a great orator!!! People like having their ears tickled.

His oratory is the closest to Ronald Reagan we have had since The Gipper himself.

Obama delivers beautiful, dramatic, sweeping oratory.

Of course the difference between him and Reagan is that amongst the soaring rhetoric Reagan actually had some meat. Some bedrock principles he held to and did not budge from. It was those core principles and belief that allowed him to push through a congress controlled by the opposition party most of his reforms, tax cuts, etc. when the pundits did not think he could do it.

Obama is all fluff and no meat other than promising a lot of "free" things to the have nots so they will vote for him.

Free college education, Free universal health care!!!

The sad thing is we may be at the tipping point where there are enough greedy, stupid Americans to fall for this line and vote for him.
