Hmmm. I'm still waiting for Senator Clinton to pull some kind of horrible skeleton out of Obama's closet and get him thrown out of the race entirely.

Any tax hike isn't likely to affect me personally, DT. I don't make a whole lot to begin with. With these 4 kids I am still riding that glorious time of many deductions. I know eventually it will come to an end, but for now we never end up owing on our taxes.

Obama wants to restore fairness to the tax structure in America. Through his plan to give tax cuts that assist the working people instead of the wealthy, Obama plans to uphold the American belief that, "If you work hard, your work will be rewarded." Obama has laid out four tax-based proposals that take the burden away from the middle class: provide an income tax credit of up to $500 per person or $1,000 per working family, give homeowners an automatic tax credit, eliminate taxes for retirees making less than $50,000 per year and streamline the process of filing tax returns. In addition to reforming the tax structure so it caters to the working people, Obama plans to close the loopholes that legally allow corporations to evade paying their fair share of taxes. Cutting the Bush tax cuts to the wealthy will insure that Obama's other proposals such as health care are covered.

Get your facts straight!

The only way the government is able to give money (help, benefits, social programs, etc) to one person is to take that money from another person.

The only way the govt. can give education, medication, housing, etc. to one person is to take the money to pay for it from another person.

It's called "share the wealth" or "equalizing" the people.

Ahhhh. You are one of those financial adviser kinda people. I looked into doing that for a living at one time. The kind of people you deal with on a daily basis do have to take taxes into account because they tend to have more wealth than others. No wonder you are in favor of Bush's tax policies. lol

$80K per year is definitely well above the median income in America, DT. I might be wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that the median income is around $35K per year.

Here it is by State, according to the Census:

80K is still above the median in every State of the Union.

That is a matter of opinion, DT. Maybe to you they aren't rich, but to someone like me 80K falls into the rich category. Like I said, I could live like a king on that kind of money. New cars for me and the wife, a nice two story house with some land, money to invest, the works Bro. Right now I am struggling to get a retirement plan into place. I have it planned out, but no duckets to put my plan into place. Still, I don't get discouraged because I know God is my Source, and I walk by faith and not sight. Hopefully, this work from home endeavor will pay off in time, and I will get to find out how the other side lives. :bliss

I know you said you did not want to correspond with me but may I please ask one question... if you dont want to hear it ignore this post if you dont already have me on ignore :)

I saw something about this meeting on the news in the middle of the night when I was unable to sleep. The news correspondent that was reporting seemed to think it was simply a meeting and them agreeing to get along and her to back/endorse him???? What do you think? Do you Seriously have info swaying the other way or is it just your impression. This is not an attempt to demean anything you have said but a serious question.

Thanks
AG
