Sentencing is set for June 30 for Glenn Murphy Jr., who resigned as county chairman last August following his arrest.

Authorities said he ....... on a sleeping man following a party at a home in Jeffersonville in July. He pleaded guilty in Superior Court on Thursday as part of an agreement that calls for a six-year sentence, with four years suspended.

Murphy is free on a $25,000 bond pending sentencing.

His lawyer, James Voyles of Indianapolis, refused to comment on the plea agreement or the possible sentence.

need to fess up and admit that they are not perfect
either. It's hurts them worse when they act like

What is your point? There are literally hundreds of thousands of both Republican and Democrat polilticans at all levels of government from small town officials to United States Senators and Congressman.

Why is dragging up some story about some low level county Republican supposed to be shocking news and make the GOP look terrible?

They are just people and out of any large group of people there will be some robbers, murderers, sexual deviants, etc.

If there was evidence that a party consistently covers this stuff up rather than rooting it out it would be different. That they speak against it in spite of some failing is to their credit.

The openly gay Congressman from Mass. whose live in 20something year old lover was operating a prostituion service out of the congressman's home.
