View Full Version : Jesus Do YOU know Him?

I was thinking as I was mowing my acre of grass the other day how folks would decribe Jesus if asked by someone.
Would you be as Philip and ask someone that you believe to be a Christian "Do you understand what your reading"?
Would you be like Paul that "almost" persuaded a leader of his time to believe in Jesus?
Would you be simply say He was born of a virgin and died on a cross for our salvation?
Would you go into details like He is the Good Shepherd, yet the Lamb that was slain, etc.
Do you even KNOW Him enough to give more than a basis.
IF someone asked you tell me about Jesus how would you respond?

To start..
I would describe Him as.. the lover, anchor and Savior of our soul. He loves and cares for us unconditionally.
He is a a friend to the failure. He purchased your salvation with His own precious blood. And we owe Him our all.
And.. read and obey Acts 2:38.

Are you saying Acts 2:38 decribes Jesus?

It represents his death (repentance), burial (baptism) and the resurrection (infilling of Holy Ghost).
Which we have and or do to be born again. Must be born again, thats what Jesus taught.

Sure, wouldn't you? Had some wild ideas. And really rocked the boat. Got lots of people in high places really mad at him.

Must definitely! Spit on dirt and made a mud pie and stuck in somebody's eye.
Very radical! :)
