While there are literally scores of ways to know that you aren't young anymore - and most of them unpleasant - I just discovered a pleasant way to know you're no longer (as my Mother In Law would put it) a "young'un".

I received a PM from someone (I'll let her give her identity if she wishes) on here inquiring if I had a son by the name of 'Nathaniel'. I affirmed that I did, indeed, have a son by that name and was then informed that she was a member of the Church where he was preaching revival! They have been in revival for quite a while and it looks like it will go quite a bit longer.

He's 18 years old and has all the passion in the world. Great kid who lives to be used of God. Good looking, too, just like his................ Mother. :heeheehee

Was a pleasant surprise to suddenly feel older without feeling bad about it!

You know you're getting old when teenagers start call you Mr. (lastname) instead of your first name.

In my denial years, I told everyone that Mr. (lastname) was my DAD!

I know what you mean...someone called me Sister Cyprus, and I started looking around for my mother;)! OUCH...that hurt.
