Don't go to a small town WAL-MART blitz sale on the 28 lest you want to get trampled.

I loked at the black friday ads online last week; searched the actual newspaper ads today.....
Now for my dilemma> hubby's wish list is a request for a GPS system:gift
There are several brands and prices and features; are all the bells and whistles really necessary?
If you own one, do you like it?
HELP!!!!
Thanks

I got out of my warm bed at 5:00 and was in line at Target at 10 to 6(am).I joined about 100 other crazy people. 23 degrees and we're standing outside....all be it, to save money.
After a couple stops I punched in at work 7:59. Yes, it is nuts, I was tired all day at work.

ARE the bells and whistles necessary? In two words: Oh Yes. At least they will be to him.
You can get a good value at almost any price point, including the "under a $100" one, but the very best units seem to be selling (on sale) in the $200-300 range with a few very nice ones over $400.
