I just put all new knobs and handles on my kitchen cabinets and they look a hundred times better and more updated. When we moved in here, everything had gold brass fixtures and hardware. I replaced it with rubbed bronze and it looks so good, and I got all 31 pieces on Ebay for $48!! I also bought a new rubbed bronze kitchen faucet and sprayer, but I have to wait to get it for Christmas from my mom & dad. Then all that shiny gaudy stuff will be gone and I will love my kitchen!!

I may become a gourmet cook now. J/K:christmoose

You have officially learned to Design on a Dime!

And speaking of cabinet hardware, ours is a very updated modern kitchen, but none of the cabinetry has ANY hardware (a pain because I keep grabbing the wrong end of a few doors to this day -8 months later). We know it is cheap and will make our kitchen look a thousand dollars better but we just haven't gotten to it yet.

When I found these on Ebay, I almost shockamooed in my living room. They look so good!

You can really make older cabinets look like new again by taking some stain and rubbing it onto the wood. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then wipe off.

If your cabinets were looking dull or the dry wood was showing thru the varnish this really brightens them up.

Well, they are nice cabinets, but nothing really special. UNTIL NOW. Eddie thought it was hilarious that I got so excited over new cabinet knobs. Then Zac came downstairs after I had put them all on and stood in the kitchen for a half hour with me, and never noticed the difference. MEN!!!! Ok, the old knobs were shiny gold and these are dull bronze. How different could that be?

Anyway, it brightened up my day.:icecream

I'm sure it made that sweet looking kitchen look even sweeter! Men never do notice the important things...*sigh*...

Well I expect you to make a big deal out of it when you see it, making Eddie think it was a MAJOR improvement!!:santathumb
