I was wondering if you are going to have a Ham or a Turkey this weekend, or maybe something else?

I think we will maybe have a ham.

You?

Easter dinner tradition for the Hoovers is church in the morning then an upscale brunch at the Tan-tar-a Resort's Grand ballroom.

They generally have breakfast omelets, ham, lamb, prime rib, turkey and seafood. I have a hard time choosing....

They do carved ice rabbits, give away easter baskets every 20 min. and play live music. Of course the Easter Bunny himself comes around to the tables - so much for trying to tell the kids he isn't real!

either we'll have both ham and turkey or else we'll have turkey and pheasant. The turkey is a definate because Mom had that in her freezer. The other depends on which my brother decides on. He'd have to buy the ham. Or he could just butcher a few of his pheasants for free. And since he's trying to get rid of a few of the cockbirds anyway, I'm thinking it might be pheasant. We'll see. I don't really care. I only go for the desserts anyway :happydance

We're having dinner on Monday because we have a wedding tomorrow afternoon and reception in the evening.

We're having ham! I thought about roast beef but TB brought home a ham, so that's that! :) I cook it long and slow covered in gingerale and then add a glaze ... brown sugar, honey, gingerale, and mustard about halfway through. Nothing too fancy.

Salad, homemade cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes or scalloped (haven't decided yet) veggies, rolls, and then dessert to top it off.

There'll be 11 of us for dinner.

We are having ham and roast. With potato salad, mac and cheese, veggies and green salad. For dessert we are having turtle cheesecake, banana pudding, and strawberry trifle. Yum!

I made a Chicken Divan Casserole with curry in it. I had to make something I could pop in the oven as soon as we get home from church tomorrow. I will just have it, a tossed salad, rolls and a fresh apple cake that is YUMMY!! My daughter is here from Nashville and we just had to taste-test it to make sure it will be edible tomorrow.

I've decided on dessert.

Strawberry shortcake and whipped cream except I'm going to make either an angel cake or white cake instead of traditional biscuits.

Also going to make a Peach Cake that is a winner with vanilla icecream!
