It is weird, the older I get the earlier I go to bed and the earlier I rise...:sad I wish someone would get up and talk to me. I am lonely!

If it's any consolation, we are under Blizzard Warnings here in Indy...*sigh*
lots of snow and drifting snow...
Wish I was in a warmer climate right now!!! We all slept in until 7:30...:bliss

Good Morning, Little Sister,
I am up but was reading my Bible first. Just got on here and saw your
posts. May God's presence go before you today and give you of His
wisdom that in the days ahead you might know the way He would have
you take. We all have need to be lead by the Spirit of Almighty God. If
we acknowledge Him in all of our ways, and lean not on our own under-
standing, He will direct our paths (steps).
Blessings,

Thank-you. For the past couple days I wish I had access to a quiet place to cry out to God...no privacy at work, none at home, and none at church...I need my closet. I do miss my church in Clearweater because it was close to me and I had a key and would go in any time day or night and find a place to pray.

Yse the sunsets were beuatiful. We did not get to a church while we were traveling.
we were fortunate to been 30 miles below the tornados when they hit last week, killing twenty there.
While in St Pete, one thing that amazed me was the huge homeless population linving on the streets.
The wife and i were waking and took the "wrong street" and walked right thru a sleeping bag sidewalk community. People just sprawled out on the sidewalk at 2 in the afternoon.
Makes ya thankful for the roof over your head.

Yes, I worked Community Transitions [homeless] fpr three months and it was so sad. Many of them are dually diagnosed mentally ill and the pattern is: take medications, find work and housing. Stop taking their medications because they are feeling better, lose their job, lose their homes, and back on the streets.
At least they are in Florida with some good weather. There are many shelters, food kitchens, and access to services for these people though. Pineallas county is good about that population.

Yes..I think if I was homeless in the winter I'd migrate to Florida.
A few years back a friend i worked with (evangelical wesleyan fellow) invited to go with to minister.(take food and warm clothing) to homeless in our area.
I could not believe what i saw men living in makeshif tarp shelter in the woods olong the Missisppi river. They were huddled around a burn barrel. Our weather (illinois) was one of the coldest on record that year with temps often 20 below zero.
I know there are some that are just lazy shifless..but many of these men had stories of job loss etc that brought them on hard times nad had their house forclosed or evicted from their rentals.
We have occasionally volunteered thru "churches united" and help out at meal centers here by peeling potatoes or whatever help we could provide to feed at the one site about 150 people in need.
It's sad we don't do more in this area. I like most tend to try to ignore the need that is all around us.
I was very impressed when I visited Mic Friends church in St Paul MN a couple years ago.
They fed a large group of homeless after every sunday morning service.
Many of those homeless were in attendance in the morning service also.

Thank you, Sister,
I am thinking about how we have heard that the internet
is more dangerous than TV. I do not have TV myself but do
know that when things are presented on TV, you cannot respond
like what we are able to do on the internet!! Through this medium
God, can by His Spirit flowing through us, reach out to the lonely,
despondant and the oppressed. The Love of Christ shed abroad in
our hearts can move through the network of His children and show
loving care and concern for each other. Where evil doth abound,
Grace doth MUCH MORE ABOUND!!! God can (as He did concerning
Joseph and his brothers) take what they thought evil, God meant it
for good, to save much people alive. Just something I have observed!
A favorite chorus.
Let me touch Him, let me touch Jesus,
Let me touch Him as He passes by,
So that I can reach out and touch others.
So that others may live and not die.
O to be His Hand extended, reaching out to the oppressed,
Let me touch Him, let me touch JESUS. So that
others may know and be blessed.
Blessings,
Falla39
