You need to specify christian/classical-jazz.
If it is christian you're looking for, my recommendation would be Ben Tankard, Ramsey Lewis.
If it is the other, easy to listen to would be David Benoit, a little more advanced listening would be Joe Sample, Chic Corea, Oscar Peterson. And by a "little" that really means "lots" because they are the greatest!
I could also record my great rendition of Van Halen's "Jump" for ya, it ROCKS!, he he

No thanks for Van Halen! But, if Lionel Richie had a Christian Piano CD - I would buy it!!!
Are the above named people Christian artists?

I like all genre's of music, so anything is good. I listened to a couple at the Bible bookstore the other day, but I didn't like them. In other words, I like them all, but some artists don't do the piano justice.
I don't play by ear and finally found Moonlight Sonata in sheet music the other day. People hardly carry that anymore. My mother had the most beautiful Cherry Wood antique sheet music cabinet I have ever seen. She sold it to her sister! I was crushed!

If your Christian bookstore doesn't have much of a selection on the rack they might could order some in for you. We do that all the time for our customers. It's easier if you can give them a title.
You might want to check out Christianbook.com. It's a pretty huge website and you can order from them. We use it at Blessings as a resource site all the time. Click on "Music" They have an "Instrumental" section (http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/cms_content?page=1481103&sp=1002&event=1002CAT) so you could check it out for ideas.

Thanks. I'm a member of Sound And Spirit and have done that. I just wanted to see if anyone had some that they listen to and could recommend. I've bought several instrumentals and didn't care for them. I'll check out Christian Book - I have an account with them also.

Gordon Mote is currently on the Gaither tour. He is a studio session pianist in Nashville. Here is his site.

Also the Quiet Time Series by Ralph Lofton, Jr. is nice if you like Gospel.

Hey MM,
If you are a Jeff Lorber fan (I am), he has new release that just came out this month titled "He Had a Hat". It's pretty nice!

Love Lorber, he was doing awesome stuff on synths before it was cool!
I'll check it out.
That's the deal about being up here, no jazz stations, (I gots sirius though) and no concerts, bummer.

Christopher Phillips, who is the piano player at Christ Church, just came out with a solo piano CD of his arrangements to choruses. It is really good! :)

I checked and they don't have it listed online yet! You can call the church at (615) 834-6171, and ask for the bookstore.
