To you that have asked.....Sis Freeman's book about Bro Barnes ( "A Prophet in our Time" The Life Story of T. W. Barnes) is now finished and published. If you want to purchase it, you can do so at www.mindenupc.com.
Sunday will be the 1 year anniversary of his death. We are having an OLE' fashion tent revival in his honor this weekend, it actually started tonight. Bro Terry Smith is preaching. Wasnt sure how i would like it, but it was GREAT! I LOVED IT! I might like this 'roughing it' stuff after all! :winkgrin Next week there will be pictures on the church website of the tent revival.

Amen! Another one that doesn't get mention is EL Holley.
BTW My wife cleans homes for Rich people (okay they aren't rich just richer than us) and she came home with a whole bunch of T Shirts for Ryan.
One of them has the Flag of Texas on it and it says, "Don't mess with Texas!"
Should I let him wear it??:D
LaGirl,
How old was Bro. Barnes when he died? 120 or 130?
I remember seeing him at La. Campmeeting back in the mid 70's and it seemed he was an old man even back then!!!!!

I loved Brother Holley. We were in the middle of a huge church split and when he came on the scene it was just so awesome. He was so quiet, strong and patient through that.
Yee-Haw - Get er done! Tell that boy to wear that shirt every day of his life!!!

...
I've got my copy of the book on order.
I read the other biography by his grandson plus at least one of Bro. Barnes' books. I also have the DVD of his funeral.
Bro. Barnes was a great man of God and one of our Pentecostal heroes.
