Perhaps I have the title wrong but the lyrics I'm requesting is from an old church hymn.

The part that I sorta remember is

It's real It's real
I know I know it's real
This Pentecostal blessing
I know I know it's real

Could someone please help me with the
lyrics to this song? I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
MIKE

thanks for all the links, especially enjoyed the guy singing.

Did the best I could to get the words from Scribd but I still left out a few words if
someone could give it once over to see what I am missing?

ooops forgot to put the words....lemme try again.

Its real, Its real,
Praise God
I know Its real
This Pentecostal blessing
And I know, I know
Its real
Its real, Its real,
Praise God
I know Its real
This Pentecostal blessing And I
know, I know
Its real

When first I heard of Pentecost, I
thought it
was a shame
That such an unholy teaching
Should be
taught in
Jesus' name
But they said t'was in the Bible
and I did not
want to doubt
So I went around to see them And to
hear them sing and shout

Some were shouting hallelujah
Some were
prostrate on the floor
Some were dancing in the Spirit
From the pulpit to the door
Some were shaking
some were quaking
As one
by one they fell
When all at once a brother

I sat a little longer Wondering
what my folks
would say
I knew they didn't like it in That
Pentecostal way
For just a night or two ago I
heard my old dad
say
That when he got religion He
didn't get it that way

I started to the alter With
hunger in my soul
I didn't care for people For
the Spirit made me
go
I raised my hands to Heaven And
I let Him
have His way
And praise the Lord He filled
in that good ol' fashioned way!

I've heard it with a few minor adjustments

Its real, Its real,
I know Its real
This Pentecostal blessing
And I know, I know
Its real
Its real, Its real,
I know Its real
This Pentecostal blessing And I
know, I know
Its real

When first I heard of Pentecost, I thought it
was a shame
That such an unholy teaching
Should be taught in

So I went around to see them And to

Some were shouting hallelujah
Some were prostrate on the floor
Some were dancing in the Spirit
From the pulpit to the door
Some were shaking
some were quaking
As one by one they fell
When all at once a brother shook-I thought he'd had a spell!

I sat a little longer Wondering
what my folks would say
I knew they didn't like it in That
Pentecostal way
For just a night or two ago I
heard my old dad
say
That when he got religion He
didn't act that way

I started to the alter With
hunger in my soul
I didn't care who saw me
For the Spirit made me

I raised my hands to Heaven And

And praise the Lord He filled
in that good ol' fashioned way!

I tried to find a YouTube video of "It's Real" but couldn't.

This is another old timey song.
I remember Bro. and Sis. Paslay singing this on a Sunday night back in the nineteen fifties in Cincinnati, OH

Hear are the words to It's Real verses :
When first I heard of Pentecost, I thought it was a shame.
For such unholy teaching to be taught in Jesus name
They said it was the Bible, and I didn't want to doubt.
So I went down to hear them, just to see them sing and shout.
II
Some folks were shouting "Glory" , some where prostrate on the floor,
Some were dancning in the spirit fromn the pulpit to the door.
Some were shaking, some were, some were quaking as one by one they fell,
And when I saw that brother shout, I thought he'd had a spell.
III
So I stayed a little longer, wondering what my folks would say,
I knew they didn't like it in this Pentecostal way;
for just a day or two ago I heard my daddy say that when he got religion,
He didn't act that way.
IV
So I started to the altar with a hunger in my soul,
I didn't care who saw me, for the spirit made me go.
I raised my hands toward heaven and let God have His way.
And praise the Lord He filled me in this Pentecostal way !
V
Some folks don't like our shouting, they think that it's wrong.
They tell us that our preacher speaks some things that are too strong.
They're sure that up in heaven twill be a quite place,
But folks will be far different when they see our Savior's face!

There was an audio of that included in one of the CD/books from Word Aflame by a brother A.C. Nelson from somewhere in Oklahoma who was past the age of 70.

When first I heard of Pentecost I thought it was a shame,
That such unholy teaching should be taught in Jesus’ name.
They said ‘twas in the Bible, and I did not want to doubt
So I went around to see them and to hear them sing and shout

It’s real, it’s real, I know it’s real,
This Pentecostal blessing, and, I know, I know it’s real.
It’s real, it’s real, I know it’s real,
This Pentecostal blessing, and, I know, I know it’s real.

They were shouting, “Hallelujah,” some where prostrate on the floor,
They were dancing in the Spirit from the pulpit to the door.
They were shaking, they were quaking, as one by one they fell,
I saw one brother shake so hard, I thought he’d had a spell.

Well I stayed a little longer, wondering what my folks would say.
For I knew they did not like them, or this Pentecostal Way.
Well, just a day or two before I heard my father say,
"When I got my religion, why I did not act that way!"

So I started for the altar, with a hunger in my soul.
I did not mind the people, for the Spirit had control.
I just raised my hands toward heaven, and let God have His way,
And, praise the Lord, he filled me in this Pentecostal way!

Now, when you get the Holy Ghost, I know you’ll speak with tongues,
And all the folks around you’ll know the Holy Ghost has come.
In Acts 2:4, 10:46, the Scriptures plainly say,
Also the 19th chapter, that they all came through that way!

As I recall,Bro Nelson from OK wrote this song.

I've heard the song my whole life. No matter who sings it.....it is always a blessing to the service.

One of my favorites!!!

We have used the chorus to Its Real many times in our worship services. I love the song and I love to hear Bro. Nelson sing it. I don't know if it is still in print but I bought Bro. Nelson's biography and got a tape of him singing the song at GC one year some time back. (Probably 30 plus years ago) Bro. Nelson was truly an, "old time Pentecostal."
