Are alkalines really the best way to go for powering cordless mics? What's your opinion? We have been using NiCad rechargeables for awhile now, but lately I've noticed a significant drop in the length of service they provide. Does anyone use the Lithium Ion rechargeable for their mics? I'm considering switching to them?

I would use NiMH, not NiCad. They can store several times the charge.

There are certain non rechargable batteries that you want to use for a long event that draws a lot out of the mics.

But for a short event we use rechargables.

The best non-rechargables are the pro-cells

Rechargables eventually hold less and less charge over time
