Just got back today, very tired and our bodies are experiencing the worst of Jet lag.

But had a # of good things happen.

These are precious people, mostly Chinese and young. Mostly 20 somethings, with a mix of Doctor's, Therapists, Educators etc.

7 Recieved the Baptism of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost Sunday.

Some healings and acts of power during the Healing and Prophetic services.

Received a great compliment from a Doctor (Oncologist) on God healing through me, a real treasure. Will say more about this later!

Took a ton of pictures and will post more later about this.

Singapore is neat town, but sad to see materialism and other detestable Western values take it over. But irregardless, many hungry souls.

Learned a lot about the local works in Malayasia and Indonesia, good things are happening in those works.

One interesting thing that I learned is had influential and powerful Jenny Miller has been in that area.

That is so wonderful, Brother Keith. We were praying for you. Please keep us all informed. If you are ever over this way come minister here. We love missions around the world and love to hear what God is doing.
You are INVOLVED in God's eternal plan. Blessings to you.

Bro Keith, my wife worked and lived in Singapore for four years before comiing to Canada in 1990. A few of our Sisters in the Church lived in Singapore for a time as well.

Glad to hear of the good report.

God Bless.

That beach looks nothing like how I imagined Asia beaches to look like. AND your son is starting to look like his father!!

The beach area was nice, though people told us the water is not the best to swim in, due to the port activity. We saw at least 175 ships waiting off shore.

Thanks, others have told me the same thing. He did really well on the trip, when we went to Little India, people wanted to touch his hair, someone told us the blond hair is a sign of luck.

No, the church just happens to be very young. The average is about 30 and most if not all are professionals, Doctors, Therapists, bankers, etc.

You will enjoy it, how long will your layover be, most people have about 8 hours, take the free tour.

It has taken me much longer to get over the jet lag this trip, than when I went to India.

In October the weather should be much better than when we were there, it was very hot and humid.

My pastor friend sits on a panel study the effects of gambling on the society there. This is very common there, before the Gov. approves anything, they do intensive study.

They are afraid of losing tourists to Macaw and China.

before you can start a church you have to get permission from the State Government. You are not allowed to have any gathering larger than 8 people without permission. But overall they have freedom but not like here, they have no toleration for open dissent or that which would cause social disruption.

Jenny Miller was a woman sent from Parkway Apostolic Church, to do missions work in Singapore in the 80's. She founded by herself the work that the Willoughby's now pastor in Singapore. She then moved to Hong Kong and by herself has founded a # of churches there, and has baptized many if not hundreds of local pastors in Jesus Name.

She has had tremendous impact in Asia, those that I have talked to her sing her praises.

Sad thing is, most have never heard of what God has done through her, most likely because of her gender.

Do they still show movies in the building on off nights?

Last November in Merced, we were in a former Theater but no current movies were running.

The Willoughbys church (Tabernacle of Joy) theater has been totally converted to a church that is theirs 24/7.

I'm excited to be going to Asia in a few weeks, as that's one part of the world we've never seen. I have no idea what we'll be expected to eat; kinda nervous about that!

Yes David is the only we took with us, grandma watched the other 2. David did pretty good actually, he slept quite a bit on the plane. He got antsy a couple of times.

He would fall asleep during church or some one would take him to the nursery so I was glad for that.

I think you will be surprised by Asia, I found it really interesting- Singapore felt like the US except when we went shopping in the grocery store and with Chinese writing every where. And then some of the food was different-but still very fascinating.

I want to hear about Hong Kong so bad! We were there only for a couple of hours-

I want to hear about Hong Kong so bad! We were there only for a couple of hours-I'm real excited about the Hong Kong part, but that is just the "fun" part, not ministry. The ministry part is with very poor pastors in Cagayan de Oro on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. We won't be donig any sightseeing there, because it's too dangerous to be out and around, as Americans. Too much kidnapping going on there. So we will have a driver to take us from our hotel (such as it is) to our conference site and back, and that's about all we are allowed to do.

I am looking forward to finally meeting pastors I have only known through email for eight years!

There are many Filipinos in Singapore, we flew right over the Philippines--You are doing a great thing by going there and ministering to those pastors, I am sure they will appreciate it so much. I have heard about the danger there and will be praying for your safety-

How long will you all be gone for?? And when are you leaving??

Blesssing to you all and your ministry. It is so wonderful that all of us can share and pray for each other and our world here on AFF. We have been praying for you all. This ministry is so important to help keep our brothers and sisters focused on the real ministry of the church. May God enlighten you my friend, Brother Keith and family and keep you always in His love. I rejoice with Sherri and Eddie as they reach out in so many places. We all can not be everywhere but our prayers can! We are praying for all those especially on this forum that are involved in missions. Who knows maybe sometime we could all sit down and fellowship and share with each other and learn from each other.
Be encouraged in the Lord. Love and Prayers Sister Alvear and family

(as soon as Brother Alvear wakes up we will resume our journey we are headed for the jungle)

If there is any learning to be done, it will be at your feet. I am a novice at this, you are the seasoned professional. I still have a letter from you in my Bible, I pray for Brazil everytime I see it.

We leave July 1st, which happens to be our 29th anniversary (last year our 28th one was in Nairobi). We come home on the 13th. I would appreciate your prayers!! We are leaving our 18 year old son here at the house, but we have two other boys who live here too who are a little older.
