Anyone been to or know of Community Family Church in Independence, KY, pastored by Tommy Bates. I was browsing the list of live webcasts on christian world media yesterday and started watching CFC's sunday night service. The 20 minutes or so that I watched was pretty good.

I think they're non-denom, but believe baptism in Jesus name and HG. Tommy Bates has preached several times at an AoG church in FL.

Anyone heard of Tommy Bates or CFC?

I love Tommy Bates. He has a Holiness background and maybe Church of God. He and the AG are very friendly. His dcotrine is not much different than the AG.

I am going to purchase some of his preaching DVD's.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We Believe…

There is but one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom and goodness, maker and preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. In the unity of this God-Head, there are three persons of one substance, of eternal being, and equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity. These three are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost;Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the intercessor;

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God; repentance is commanded of God and necessary for forgiveness of sins;

Justification, Regeneration, and the New Birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus;

In Sanctification subsequent to the New Birth wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ;

Holiness to be God’s Standard of living for His people;

In the baptism of the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart;

In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost;

In water baptism by immersion and all who repent should be baptized;

Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement;

In the Lord’s Supper and Washing of the Saints’ feet;

In the premillenial second coming of Jesus, first to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air, and second, to reign on the earth a thousand years;

In the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked;

I was at his church last night. It was a powerful service. Praying for the children and even college age kids. They even prayed for the school teachers and Sunday School teachers, Missionettes (girls' club), anyone who taught kids. We go to his church every Sunday night. He is definitely anointed and knows how to preach. His people know how to praise God and worship. He preaches a lot of Church of God campmeetings and Assembly of God churches. He is not in any of their organizations but doctrine about the same. We leave early to get a good seat as most of the time, they are pretty much full. The church is 10 miles off interstate I - 75 on a 2 lane road (highway 16). I think I heard their attendance is around 2,000. They have 2 Sunday morning services, plus Sunday School and then church Sunday night. His church has many many musicians.

I LOVE HIS CHURCH. - BECAUSE OF THE ANOINTING AND WORSHIP.

I have watch TB for years. He is great, but I am not a huge fan of the Holiness, screaming preacher, model. However, I feel he is pretty genuine. I was watching an episode once where he talked about going to a oneness church to sing with his family and they were asked to sing standing in the altar area solely because they baptized in F, S, and HG. He is good though.

I watch TB every chance I get. Powerful preacher. I thought he was affiliated w/ the Church of God, but was told the other day he is independent. He preaches a lot of their campmeetings. A good brother in the Lord.

That is because we all know platforms are "holy ground". Just like Jesus and the Apostles told us they were in the New Testament. Oh......wait......never mind.

I may be wrong. I admit I haven't seen him baptize anyone to know how he does it.

His service at 11 am Sunday is live stream and also the Sunday night service at 6:30 pm eastern time. I think you can utube him as someone already said. He is genuine or I wouldn't be there on Sunday night. It is a round trip of 66 miles for us and I have talked to others who drive 5 hours to be in his church. With the price of gas, that is a sacrifice. People are hungry for a move of God.

5 hour drive to attend church is ridiculous. They pass a million churches along the way.

That was a great message. "You Shall Break Forth!" I love their music; how the blend newer songs with the old.

Did you hear the older man sing the Dottie Rambo song about the cross? It was beautiful. Pastor Bates blends the old with the new. That is the name of his TV program - Bridging the Gap. His sons work right along with him. One opened the service and sang and the other one played the piano. He plays the Hammond B3 too. I love their music too and I love the anointing. Very precious people..

Will you Shockamoo too? I can tell you that TB is a good singer too. I enjoy his singing as much as his preaching. I am not a fan of "screaming preachers" but he is one that I will watch occasionally.

I only was a shockamooer a few times. I grew out of that pretty fast.

So this guy is God's latest and greatest, yet he doesn't know the trinity is false doctrine or that baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the proper biblical method of baptism?

I mean this is basic stuff, you'd think with all that Royal Telephone unlimited calling plan he's got going on the Lord might have said something to him like 'Hey, Tommy, by the way, I am not a council nor am I schizophrenic, and just to let you know baptism in MY NAME is the way to do it.'

Oh yeah, he apparently believes in Welseyan sanctification... does that mean he's got it right?

I mean, I'd a thunk so, but then what do I know?

It was really good. He preached a great message about the "David generation" he has a heart for the young generation.

For the rest of it was a Holy Ghost foot stomping tongue talking hoe down. I don't dance much but I got down. I wanted to run but I did not, my wife told me to run.

Many of those same youth got the Holy Ghost. I have to be honest I love my church and its root in Pentecost run deep and wide.
