Wow, I didn't know this thread had been "re-activated" - you people are confusing me making me go back and forth! Lol!
I havn't been able to get on much we have been SWAMPED at work which is suuuuch a good thing. I'm sure you all remember how I have always been searching and looking for another job and kept coming up empty handed and we had been praying and praying for us both to get another job, well, as you know my husband did but I didn't and so I started thinking, Ok God, you must want me here for some reason, especially since my husband took a pay cut so I was limited on other jobs. So, I started praying that God would help me with my job - help me to learn to love it, I prayed that he would make changes that needed to be made so that it would be a place worth working at. smile.gif etc.....
Well, it has been a few months now and there have been some changes here...we got a new "president/chancellor" who is really turning this place around, my office has had a major u-haul and I have lots of more work to do, which makes me happy, I hate being bored all day long! So, needless to say things are better - now if I could just get a raise...........lol! I am happy, I actually had a chance to switch to another dept but I have decided I like the changes here and I want to stay.
God is good all the time! clap2.gif

OH sis I am so happy for you.....isn't it funny how we can pray and pray for something and then realize we are not praying the right thing....and when we get it the Lord just blesses us! We are thanking Renda she moved Gabby's out here for us...and its staying a lot busier!

My sister came by tonight to help me get stuff together for my dads garage sale and she told me she was taking my youngest to dinner... came back 2 hrs later and she had taken her trick or treating and that child came in with 2 hugeeeeeeeeeee bags of candy!!! I about flipped! So she said mom I dont like all this stuff what can I do with it so she went outside and found some kids walking she watched "kinda scoping them out" for one who looked cute sweet and all that good jazz.. then went up to her and said here I cant eat this do you want it... the little girl was maybe 5 and had not hardly any candy... she goes ahhhhhhhh yes thank you! And looked at her daddy and said well we can go home now!! ROFL!
My daughter said mom I didnt get this much candy when I used to trick or treat all the time LOL... After I went thru it and took out all the pieces that had come unwrapped and stuff.. and after she had given a ton away she still has 2 walmart bags fulllllll...ICK!

I get to check in once or twice a day - but I am so busy reading what is going on - I don't get to say much. I really appreciate all of my AFF friends - It really helps me feel connected to Apostolic all over the US. Have a great weekend.

Today would have been a beautiful day for a Harley ride here!
I did take a trip to visit my dad in Arkansas and it was a perfect day.
Last Sunday, my friend came in to church and sat by me and said, do we smell like the outside? I looked at her so funny - - she said they rode their Harley to church and she's was afraid they smelled like kids on the playground!

Good Morning Ladies! :kittyhug Boy is it chilly today! And it is supposed to stay cold and rainy and possible snow tomorrow!!!!!!!! Can you believe it???? I hate cold weather and I am NOT ready for it.
My 4 - almost 5 - year old started pre-school today. She is only going to go 3 days a week. I am so nervous for her. Her daddy took her after they dropped me off at work (because he works in the same building). I am anxious to talk to him and see how she did. She still battles having accidents - she refuses to go poo in the potty chair, so we have been leary of sending her but we decided to try it and hope that it will help her mature enough to start going on her own in the potty chair. She will start kindergarten next fall so, she better be straightening up!! LoL!

How is everyone today? I am EXTREMELY tired. I told my husband today that I think there is somthing wrong with me and I am very serious. I am sooooo tired 24/7, I mean not just a little tired but extremely tired, I feel like I am in a fog all the time and I crash everynight as soon as I sit down on the couch, I sleep so hard I don't even hear Ariel when she wakes up through the night and my husband has to shake me when the alarm is going off. And I am still so exhausted in the mornings. I bought me some vitamins with iron in them, I just started taking them (they also have ginseng in them for energy) I am going to give them a month or two to see if they help and just go from there. My blood count is low but only just barely so I don't really see how that could be it, I have battled that my whole life and have never been this tired. Anyways,...if you all could say a prayer for me I would appreciate it, I really don't want it to be anything and I am hoping that some good vitamins with Iron will do the trick.

Good morning everyone.
I have been busy cleaning house. I guess you could call it fall cleaning. I made the girls get their closet & dressers cleaned out yesterday. We ended up with two bags of donations for the church thrift store.
It just makes me sick that they have clothes they will not wear-- and they just hang there taking up space. Such a waste.... I keep finding all these things at yard sales and thrift stores, and I'm lucky if they wear them once or twice before they just hang in the closet. IF I could only be blessed to find stuff for ME at those yard sales and thrift stores. But I guess most other women my size are like me and wear their clothes out so that they aren't fit to resell. HA!
I've got several other things to get done today, so I need to get off this computer and get busy before I lose the want to. ;)
Have a great day everyone!

This saturday is the big Veterans day parade here...we are suppose to ride our Harley with our Hog group, and its suppose to rain...please pray guys that the sun will shine on Saturday for those few hours...honoring our heros!
I wish I could say that we accomplished major things today. Unfortunately, I can't.
I did manage to get a lot of things cleaned out and organized in the office. Again. It seems like this is a weekly job. I wouldn't mind the clutter if this wasn't the first room people walk into when they come in my house. They have to go through the office to get to the living room..... so I don't like to let it have the cluttered look.
I'll be so glad when the last aquarium is out of the house this weekend. We're planning on getting that done, and getting the Christmas lights up outside if weather permits it. :holiday
Once we get those things done, I am going to move one of the desks out of the office into the living room-- and maybe move the bookshelves into one of the kids bedrooms. That would help the appearance of the office quite a bit. :nod We just need a bigger house, that would solve all the problems of where to put all this furniture. :winkgrin
I can't believe we have a freeze warning here for tonight.... it's supposed to get down into the 20s. It's already freezing cold to me, I have the heat going in the living room and office. The wind is just COLD. Samantha opened the front door a few minutes ago to take something out to her car, and it put such a chill into the office and living room. I'm having to warm it back up a little so my fingers and toes can thaw out again. :cold
What I need is a nice cup of hot cocoa... then I could wrap my fingers around the hot mug to thaw them out. I probably should also go find myself a blanket to wrap around my feet.... these socks and fleece lined house shoes aren't doing the trick.

Ok ladies! Wish me luck - I am re-starting piano lessons today on my lunch hour. I know I am already busy enough right? But these will only be 1/2 hour every other week during one of my lunch breaks and I will also practice during my lunch breaks since my church is only about 2 minutes from where I work and I am there most of the time eating with my husband anyways. I took them when I was a teenager but I gave up and never really learned to play well without notes and I really would like to learn again so,....I have been on the waiting list for almost 2 years with a lady that is really really good and she now has an opening!! I"m a little nervous - like I said please wish me luck! :)

I've rambled enough... I'm going to get that hot cocoa now. :bolt
Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....but I would rather be cold than tooo warm, if I am cold I can put on more clothes, slippers, etc...at my age, I am over warm way tooo much!

Good morning everyone.....its gray, cold, and damp here AGAIN...my word...I am blessed I guess we don't have snow to the roof, but the gray wears me down....I need a change...which is coming........RAIN......and lots of it I guess. We are going to get wet on Saturday in the parade!
I have a busy day...gotta work on my house, and make a batch of dressing for my dinner meeting tonight. Once a month the "Options" where I volunteer has a meeting so everyone can get together....and we have dinner and discuss what is going on. There are two centers and so many of us never really see anyone but the couple we work with...its a nice way to keep everyone connected.
I hope you all have a day of blessings and joy....:hug3

Good morning STS and everyone else! :) It is feeling more like winter here everyday! I guess it is time for me to get the old dreaded coat out, I hate winter time.
I am sooooo excited, I posted something about my job awhile back about how it had changed a little and it was way better now, well......my (new)boss came into my office yesterday and told us that our office was being "dispersed" - we are a group of advisors who meet with Freshman students - and that everyone would be sent to the actual divisions of their choice of study. So, naturally, I felt my chest getting tight and was thinking "here we go, my job's getting cut"...and then she said .."but, we don't want to loose you, we are going to keep you even if it means moving you up a level and giving you more work" I was soooo happy, not only will I be staying but possibly moving up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't God good????? :hanky

Glad everyone is doing well in Gabby Land. I have been very busy around here. My husband and I are buying a second home ( condo) where he is from. He needed to own a little property in North LA. He has lived at my home since we have been married ( 7 years) and now he wants to fish and relax on more familiar territory. SOOo we are purchasing this condo on a lake. Well we close the deal the week of Thanksgiving - and I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 15 people!!!! I have been planning, making lists and cleaning so I will be ready. I have finished most of the shopping today. I am going to start cooking tomorrow- I plan to make cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole tomorrow and freeze it. I also have to make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo for Saturday- It is always better if it sits a while before you eat it. So I will be a cooking machine tomorrow.

Yes, I know. I finally had to come to grips with reality and realize that we just can't afford for me to stay home and that I just need to be thankful that my children are able to go and stay with their grandma and aunt everyday at no charge and that I just need to be thankful that I have a good job with EXCELLENT benefits - because some people would do anything to have my job. Jasmine is now in pre-school which would have happened regardless, so......I'm happy. :)

Ours was crazy, too. I do the newsletter for the Northwest Ohio Emmaus Community. I got it finished, then took it to the printer for printing and mailing. This is the first time we've mailed out to our entire membership list. I was shocked at the cost!! $1100 was the cheapest price I could get and that's just the printing - NOT the mailing!!! I chased all over town to get that.
Walt's friend lost his mother last week and the funeral was this weekend. I made the video for them instead of buying flowers. I usually do 40 pictures in a video. But these people brought me over 70 pictures!! Talk about taking advantage :( Oh well. It's done.
And then we had to go to the funeral home yesterday for visitation. This same friend had lost his father the same week my niece was killed. So since Sept, he's lost both parents. It's gonna be a tough holiday season around here.
Renda, it sounds like you had a GREAT time!!! I'm trying to figure out the logistics of parking all of the people who came for that event. It must have been crazy, eh!!

Good Afternoon! My weekend was busy - yet not as busy as usual which was nice. We didn't do much, Friday night we stayed home and ordered pizza!! We don't get to do that often so it was realllllly nice to just stay home and do NOTHING! Even though I had mountains of chores to do. Then Saturday my hubby worked but I stayed home and slept in, then did some cleaning. Then of course on Sunday it was run run run with SS, Choir Practice and Church plus our youth had a dinner to raise money so we had to get all that together and clean up afterwards. This morning I am sleeepy....and my cold is still hanging around. But, I have been taking vitamins faithfully and even though it hasn't been for very long just yet I think they are helping. :bliss

But our anniversary is this weekend and I bought IU vs. Purdue football tickets awhile back as a suprise for my hubby, so we are going this shopping out of town this weekend and then to the game on Saturday. I think it will fun if I can stay warm enough! It will be nice just to get away for a short time with just us two, I can't remember that last time we did that.

It poured down rain all morning yesterday here but today it is sunny and even kinda warm!
Good afternoon everyone.....
It was a busy weekend here too, as always.
I've barely taken time to sit down at the computer and peek in a few times today. I'm busy trying to get everything ready for the family to go to ALJC Youth Convention in Nashville next week. I figured just maybe if I started early this week it might be less stressful. Wrong. It's still stressful.
I walked into the girls room this morning about 8am to wake them up and it was a disaster. I informed them this morning that if they didn't get their act together and get their room cleaned up again and keep their room cleaned this week (Remember last week I went and made them clean it up) that they would be sitting at their grandparents house next week while their dad, their brother and myself enjoyed a trip to youth convention.
They have both been mad at me ever since.
They haven't done a thing in their room.
I think that they think I'm bluffing.
Guess what? I'm not bluffing. I may have to make believers out of them.
They are not waiting till the last day and then cleaning the mess up and getting to go.
I didn't spend 6 hours of that day last week for them to not keep it clean in there.
*sigh*

I have never been so sick in my life until I started working where I currently work - I interact with the public alllllll day long and boy do I get their germs quickly! I even keep hand cleaner stuff on my desk and I use it often, but apparently not often enough. I feel really really really bad today but I am getting trained on something new this week and I am off on Friday so I didn't feel right about calling in. So, I am here feeling horrible.....hopefully as the day goes on I will start to feel better.

Good morning ladies and Ron!
Its a sad, but good, eventful yet boring morning here in our house. My wonderful hubby had to leave to go to work this morning... sad he wont be home for thanksgiving but thats ok cuz we are having our family thanksgiving a few days late because of him... but I still miss him!
The kids of course always waiting till the last minute to get stuff finished! My daughter came to me at 8:30 this morning screaming OMG I need a flash drive I have to take this power point to present at school this morning! And could I find any of them?!? OH NO of course not! So I had to give her my old one I used for church! Oh how I hate end of 6 weeks at school!
So I came home after taking her to school at 9 *10 min late of course* and sat down on the couch in front of the tv and peeled and diced 2 dozen pears for pear bread I am making for my grandma and for the holidays (people beg for it once its made so I just make it all at once that way I dont have to keep making more batches of it!) and now I am heading to the kitchen to shred up some zucchini to make bread with it too and then I am done for the day and can just sit an chill!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I need your prayers.....my little brother - who is now 20, is not doing very well at all. I believe it started back when he was around 13....my dad had a brain tumor and then brain surgery and he was "out of it" pretty much for about 5 years and during those years they just didn't keep close enough tabs on my lil bro. he got caught up in the wrong crowd and was introduced to drinking and worst of all, pot. He got caught off and on with pot or cigarettes his whole teenage life, but he was/is an expert liar, and my parents would just listen to what he had to say (lies) and go on because they just simply had too much stress in their lives at that time - due to my dad's medical problems they were going under financially and had to close their business - the only income they had. They lost everything but their house and their car and if they ever try to move they will not get money due to owing the IRS. Before I go on I just want to clarify that my parents are WONDERFUL people - they have always been very spiritual and honest and during all this they kept believing that God would give them a miracle and heal my father and turn all this around.....well, needless to say he had the surgery + chemo and radiation and the business closed. During all this my mom had a dream and she felt that God told her that after the dust settled they would be amazed. So she clung to that hope. In the meantime my brother is off doing his own thing - and none of us knew how bad it was. He ended up getting his girlfriend pregnant - and that was a mess!!! But we all got through it, they are no longer together. And over the past year he has realllllly went down hill. He is out partying all the time, he has been arrested twice and to the emergency room once due to being drunk. He is almost always high when you talk to him but of course he denies it - he is a habitual liar. And he is now moving out of my parents house this week, they have always let him stay hoping that this was just a phase and that their influence would help him.
So, like I said my parents are wonderful people and they have raised us all the same in a very Godly home, going to church every service, having prayer meetings in the home, we all went to a Christian school and learned the Bible through and through. We are a close family and this is killing us. The saddest part is that I feel that everyone at our church has just wrote him off like he is just rebellious so just forget him. But he is really a sweet tender person, he has never rasied his voice to anyone, he won't say a bad word about anyone and I think he is moving out becuase it kills him to know what he is doing to my parents. I honestly think he has just been living like this since he was a young teen and it has just gotten to the point that he can't hide it anymore. I cry and pray for him all the time because he is going to get himself in a bad sitatuation. he is a little guy and he avoids confrontation but when you are in the lifestyle he is in and running with the crowd he is running with you are setting yourself up for disaster. And his poor daughter is also going to suffer as a result of this.
Anyways, I am just torn apart because I don't know what to do. I have been praying and fasting for him and nothing happens. He just keeps going further and further and I am just heartbroken. I feel that there is no point in trying to get him to come around to church because no one reaches out to him except the same few - his friends and family. I just don't know what to do. Please keep him and our family in your prayers - especially through these holidays, they are going to be rough.
QE, I will keep him and your entire family in my prayers.
I can't imagine how hard that must be. My former pastor and his wife have a son who is pretty much just like you described your brother. He was raised right, and no matter how much fasting and prayer has been done for him-- it seems like all hope is lost. :( Just keep hanging on, knowing that God has seen every tear you have shed-- and he's heard every prayer you have prayed. Sometimes he just chooses to answer in his own time, not our time. Don't give up. It's not too late to see a change.
Love ya sis...

Thank you Tina, it means alot and is very encouraging when you know you have people helping you pray. :)

I just talked to my mom and she said that my brother is in a repentative state right now because Monday night he was drunk and took a huge chunk out of his hand or arm or something like that and had to go to the hospital so, he is being a little more "normal" and today he has actually spent the whole day with his daughter! My mom has been having some heart to hear talks with him on how his daughter needs him etc... he seems to be in agreance however, he is always like this after he gets hurt or arrested! So, we'll see how long it lasts. Tomorrow is his birthday and we are all getting together - I just wish he would realize his family loves him and we are just looking out for his well-being not trying to just tell him what to do all the time.
Anyways.....it sure is quiet around here today. I have to work till 7 and after 5 it gets reallllly boring around here.

Dear QE...somtimes the best and hardest thing to do it let someone go...
I had to let my husband throw our son out when he was 17...it was so hard, we didn't know where he was for several months....but in the long run it was the best thing for him...it forced him to be responsible for himself...I am not saying it happened over night...as mom was killed me, but my husband as a dad knew he needed it...
As an example of bailing kids out...my in laws were just the sweetest people and would give you anything, their oldest son took advantage of that, forever borrowing and even stealing from his parents...his kids were the same...to the day they died, he never really showed them respect or paid back all he owed them...I could go on for pages about the things that happened!~
When you pray you need to believe and give it over to God, and let him go and let God deal with it...we tend to get in God's way!

I know......it is just VERY hard to do. He is the baby of the family and it shows. That is what we have been telling my mom "just let him go and do his thing" maybe it will help him to really realize what is out there.

I know....I guess I just have this fear that something horrible may happen to him. But he is officiall an "adult" even though he is an immature one, so he has to pay the consequences of his actions. I just pray that God will protect him and bring him back safely.

Yay!! So far we have done good to keep Gabbys alive and in the fellowship hall!
Today is nice and cool out, right now its about 44 and lovin it!
Making a huge step today! Pray for me... I am the mother who is totally against private schools because I know how the one I was in was, dont want to go that route again ever!!!! So what am I doing today? Taking my son out of public school and putting him in our church school and I am yep a bit nervous but oh well... ones gotta do what they gotta do! I seriously believe considering the past ummmm day that this is the best thing to do and this is also at the advisement of my pastor and youth pastor so yea I am thinking this will work. They have wonderful teachers so I am not worried about that at all either which is good considering we have been dealing with 2 teachers who love to announce to the entire class who is failing how ever many classes each day and to totally humiliate the students... so right now this is just the best road for us to take..
Also please keep one thing in prayer for me... due to some circumstances that have arose, my lovely deadbeat ex has decided that he thinks it is best for my son to come live with him ROFL... that'll be the day! So we have both told him no and for now he is accepting that. Please pray that he does not push this issue any further as right now would just not be the right time for him to do that.
Also pray for my girls. I know the oldest at least... does indeed want to go to the church school also but we just cannot afford it. She hasnt complained once but I know in her heart she is upset. Please pray that God will make this easier for her. She is young and knows too much for her own good right now. The good aspect of this is she has 3 or 4 of the girls from our church who actually attend the same school she does so that makes it a little easier for her to stay there.
Thank you all! For being friends and for being prayer warriors. Love each and every one of you! There are many things happening right now I cannot speak about here openly but I covet your prayers so much during the next couple of days.Yall are my angels at times like these and I thank you all!

Good Friday morning.............
We are trying to refi our house so we are busy busy busy trying to get it spiffy so we can get the best deal. Our biggest challenge is our yard...we have yet to landscape it and its pretty ugly!
We have not had the money or the time, and our landscaper moved a couple thousand miles away! We are hoping to get enough money out of our refi to do the landscaping....I was a nice yard!!!! I love being outside in the warm weather, but right now we don't have a decent place to be, I love eating outside, having my morning coffee, reading, just being out there!
I want a nice pond, and lot of trees and self maintaining shrubs, and good grass you can walk on without stepping in a hole and breaking your ankle! I want a fire place, and a outdoor kitchen! I don't want much do I...:heeheehee.
Well I better get with it here...have a big shower to scrub...tile....
Love and blessings all...I will check in later....

AG, I am praying for you, raising teenagers is one of the hardest jobs in the world, especially if you are trying to do it right! And I know you are.
Then you throw in the idiot ex factor, and that certainly doesn't make it any easier. I'm here for you sister, and I have lived through 3 teenagers in less than perfect situations so I'm here to say, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! You will make it!

Whew cleaned my bathroom yesterday...let me tell you its a job! Its big, its white tile and grout...but it sprakles now, my hubby helped me last night!
The inspector is coming Monday afternoon...so we have a deadline! Lots more to do!
I hope you all have a great day, and your blessed with love and peace!
My hubby is laid off for awhile, so he is here being able to help. We are praying it doesn't last too much longer, the construction in the area has dried up for a bit. Being in the construction trade you just have to expect this to happen from time to time, but it sure does make life hard! Not scared, because I know the Lord will provide! HE has never let us down!

Hi Ladies,
Well, I'm sitting here trying to get into the Holiday spirit, but cannot seem to just yet. My hubby has been gone for well over a week now on a missions/preaching trip out of the country and he won't be home until Tues. night. I'm missing him so much...it's hard to be alone this long with the boys too! Hopefully by Wednesday I'll get into the spirit seeing as I have to make Thanksgiving dinner and we are having company! :)

Good morning ladies (almost cant say Ron anymore as I dont hardly see him come around anymore :()
I pray you all have a wonderful morning! We are gonna try to get life back on track here today, feel like I have been in a time warp the last week! My daughter got truancy filed on her for days she wasnt even absent!!! So we have met with the priniciple and he is dropping it as he says it was a "comp problem"!!! So I have to go meet with the judge in the morning and give him the letter from the other jerk! LOL
This morning I have to go finish enrolling my son in his new school and then sit and wait for him to get the final ok and go withdraw him from the other one! Have bible study this morning!!!!! Kinda glad as I sure need a place to get away to.. pray for our bible study ladies... They all went to Oregon for the ladies conference and to visit around and all came back sick!!! Pray they dont share the love w me!!! DONT need that! Already told them they are NOT allowed to even breathe on me!
Oh how I wish I could sit home and just bake and go back to my little non eventful life ROFL:ursofunny:ursofunny:ursofunny
Love you all and have a blessed day!

Hello Ladies!
Did I hear my name being mentioned?
Yes I am not here much anymore but that doesn't mean you all are not in my thoughts and prayers.
Life pretty much consists of Physio for my ankle & rest for the other times when I ain't working.
We have had sickness go through the house this fall with all the kids getting Strep through. Alanna got it three times.
I was sick this weekend.
Pray for my work.
I was hired to Manage our warehouse & the fellow that hired me has since got a promotion to Operations Supervisor & he has an ego to fit!
He wants me to be responsible for the Warehouse without giving me the authority to do it!

I pray you all have a blessed Day!

I said well I will just go call the dr right now! NOT!!!! They asked why I couldnt call the dr... they would do it if I wanted them to.. I said ok if you have the nerve go for it... He is in the hospital just had a liver transplant! Thats exactly what the principle told me to tell him too!

Did they enjoy it...I heard they held it at one of the church's "the bigest in oregon" this year. The hotel where they used to have it didn't want them back...then they moved it to Salem, but I guess that was to expensive...I have not been to one for a few years...I do miss the fellowship of the ladies, and the prayers together...there is always a lot of hootin and hollerin! Little sleep, and lots of eatin, laughin, and just having a good time. I have not been invited sense I left church of course!

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you all are having a great day.
I am getting so frustrated with my teenage daughters today. Do you know how much stuff two teenage girls think they have to pack to go on a trip for THREE days? You would think they are moving out!! I keep telling them that there is only so much storage space in the luggage compartments on the bus. There are going to be about 35 other people besides our family on this bus.
They have gone back into their room to try and narrow down what they are taking to the bare minimum.
Why do two teenage girls need to take 18 pairs of shoes for three days?
I told them to narrow it down to four pair of shoes each... and you'd think I'd asked them to swim across the ocean or something......

Well it is pumpkin pie time....or pecan....or chocolate is always good, now me would always for a lemon anything!
My house is clean too and it feels so good...now I need to invite some people over before it gets messed up again(I want to have people in my home again)...you would think that with just the two of us in this big house it would never get dirty or messy...it must be those little elves that come in the night to make work for me!
We are going up to Portland to be at our sons, and so we are making sweet potato casserole, dressing (stuffing) and R's very special and wonderful deviled eggs or as we like to call them angel eggs.
Wednesday is my day to volunteer so that takes a big chunk out of the middle of my day...and I am usually tired from running up and down stairs and cleaning and doing whatever needs to be done!

I just want to stop and tell all of my Gabby friends that I hope you all have a VERY Happy Thanksgiving!!!! I hope all have a wonderful holiday and that God will be with you. I know ours is a little rough due to loosing my grandpa 2 years ago 2 days before Thanksgiving. He is missed so much! And it is always during the holidays or special events that I miss him the most. He would have loved the 2 newest grandbabies and sometimes I get so sad just thinking of how he hasn't got to see them. He loved kids and was the best grandpa you could ask for! I wish my kids could grow up knowing him. I am thankful we have good memories of him.
One of my bosses brought me in a flower centepiece for Thanksgiving (the flowers are real too!) to thank me for all the extra help I have been giving lately at work! :) I was happy!!

Happy Thanksgiving all my gabbys peeps!!! Love yall all!!!
Had a wonderful night. Had awesome church last night then ran to my sisters house to get some stuff and she grabbed all the kids and informed me I needed a night alone!!!!!!! OH How I love my sister!!! I came home lurked on here for a few min and crashed and slept so good.. didnt have to worry bout kids or nothing!
Its supposed to get real cold here in a little bit so that will be nice. The kids and I are just hanging out this yr for thanksgiving since Rob is gone but we will have a wonderful thanksgiving dinner when he does get home! One of my girlfriends from east texas and her sisters family are trying so hard to get us to come to their house but I hate imposing on others thanksgivings!!! Thats family time and it just feels weird. But at the same time she is a new convert and really feels left out on the whole church thing (she doesnt mingle well in groups so a church of a 1000 is hard on her) so she keeps begging me saying I need church friends and I have known you forever!!! So someone help me in my delima!!!

I'm really excited because I finally found a work at home job that totally legit. In fact, I've spent the past couple days training...I get paid for it. :bliss I've been wanting to earn some income to supplement my husbands for a long time.
Anyway, the company is Westathome, is anyone familiar with it? I will be taking customer service calls for HSN to start out with.
Well, just wanted to share my news!

Thanks!
I'm making $7.50/hour while training and will make $9.00/hr once I've passed all my tests...it's a bit gruelling. There are other jobs you can take that pay more...this one interested me the most for right now...I may move onto something else later on.
Go to westathome.com and check it out...it did not cost me a thing to sign up, but there are a lot of forms to fill out, one has to be noterized, but its worth it to me.
Hugs to you and Dad!

Thank you! Its been a real rough night and day but we are making it. We had an awesome church service tonight and I think that made a lot of difference in his attitude. One of my best friends since birth pretty much (Brad Bullock) preached tonight and he told me after church to just stop worrying about the kiddo and just let it all go... God is in control and whatever happens is gonna happen I cant control it and for once I actually felt good about it and I am just givin it up to God...
If the school thing doesnt work I am gonna homeschool him! Lord have mercy did I just say that?!?! Well yep. I decided I was tonight. Not gonna chance him going back...
Love you and I will call if I need anything!

Hi Ladies,
I'm really excited because I finally found a work at home job that totally legit.
God bless!
I've done work for them in the past. It's fairly easy work, you can have work when YOU want to work-- as long as you stay active in the program. I gave it up because my house just wasn't quiet enough to do the work unless I wanted to stay up from midnight till 5am or so to do the work. I just went back to selling on ebay and taking on more paid surveys. I've recently found a couple of legitimate companies for the mystery shopping type thing. I just choose jobs on days when I plan on doing my normal shopping-- and do the mystery shops first. It's not a lot of money, but at the very least if I pick up one or two mystery shops- it will cover the cost of my gas to take care of my own personal shopping.
If you're interested in those, I can send you the info by PM and let you check out the sites.
Good Monday Morning Ladies!
I pray you all had a great weekend!
We had a birthday party on Saturday for my youngest daughter Alanna, she turned 8 on Thursday.
We had a great service! A few received healings & we are awaiting word on a few more!
God is good!
Have a great day in Jesus!!!

Hi Everyone!
I'm so glad that the Thanksgiving weekend is over. And I'm soooo looking forward to December being done. Is that awful of me? There's just so much stuff going on at holiday time. It's exhausting.
Tina, I would be very interested in more information on this mystery shopping information. Would you share it with me, please?
Amazing Grace, you have my word - I am praying for you!! How old is your son?

Good morning all....
Margie...don't make work for yourself girl...enjoy the season! I love the atomosphere of the holidays....we don't put up a tree anymore or decorate, because we don't have any little ones around...as a matter of fact we are going to sell a lot of our Christmas stuff in a garage sale! I know you still have younger kids...but try to cut back on what you do...so its a good time for you too!
AG...I am glad to hear your going to let it go! Sometimes that is all we can do ...really it is all we can do because God is in charge anyway. If we do right when they are little at some point they come back to it...the teen years can be terrible I know...
Brother Ron....good morning....how are you all doing...Happy birthday to the little one!
QE...we did go out on Friday in the afternoon...hahaha...we needed a new printer badly, I wore my old one out! We just took our time, and enjoyed our selvs...didn't fight the crowds or stess over anything! There was no way I would get up at 3 in the morning for any of that...not even if it was free, to get among those crazy people! NO WAY!
My hubby is still laid off, so we are going to work on a garage sale. Also working on the outside of our house getting it cleaned up...its sooooo cold outside today...I will be sweatin anyway once we get busy!
Tina if you could clue me in on some of that stuff it would be great...I would like to have a few things I could do here at home to just make a few extra dollars...I know my sis would like to too! PM with all the info on what you have done and where you find the good info! Thanks in advance.
CM...how is it going with your new job there...the info you gave me didn't work when I searced...I hope its helping you all out. How is the man of the house doing, and the boys!
Well all I hope your day is so wonderful and you have peace and joy and the blessings of the season! Winter is a wonderful time of the year!

BTW, I learned that my Aunt & Uncle are moving to Portland, Oregon - I wasn't sure what area until the other day my grandma was talking about it again. I guess right now they are hunting for jobs there and once they find something they are going to move. They have really good paying jobs now in New York so I'm not sure how long it will take them. They are just tired of living in the fast paced, high stressed life of NYC. They want something more laid back.

My husband is not working still and he's willing to help me with our youngest who is not school age yet. My husband really wants to evangelize and has a few meetings set already...I think this could be a good combination for us. We won't know until we try it.
I have tried Mystery shopping while I was in Oregon and there was hardly anything available. What was available was mostly out of town...and with gas prices the way they are...well, it's just not always worth the time and hassle as the ones I was offered paid very little. Not only that, but I don't enjoy shopping. I can see how it would be a great job for many though and am so glad you brought it up!

Lol! I think they like the big city end of it just not the rush and rude people and the stress of NYC - especially since 9-11. My aunt was supposed to have been in a meeting that morning and was running late - she was a few buildings down calling someone in the towers to let them know she was running late when the first plane hit and ever since then she is on edge everytime she goes into the city - which is everday. Anyways....I'm sure Portland will be nice for them - but unfortunately it will be even further away from us and we rarely see them now the way it is.

I am soooooo exhausted today! I was up until 11:00 last night making baby food - and I am now considering switching over to Gerber!!!!!!! Last night was a nightmare! Ariel is now eating way more and advancing in what she eats so I was making more than normal and a wider variety - and mixing stuff together. I over worked my blender so I had to call around and find another one to use. And I am afraid that I have over worked that one now! Lol! I think I will continue to make her fresh fruits and veggies but I think I am going to start buying her Gerber for her meats, pastas & dairy. I am soooo tired this morning, I did NOT want to get out of bed.

After it was all said and done I informed him it would cost him an hours wage... he laughed and said I so did not realize I was calling you asking for this number I just couldnt think who else would have it... Just too funny! Some people are so dependent upon others that once they arent around they dont realize they arent there... and still call on them all the time make sense? Or am I just being weird???
That's hilarious!

I know.......and making it is cheaper, but I am beginning to think not cheap enough for the time and effort!!!
There ya go - sometimes cheaper is only about money. If you are stealing time or quality of time away from those darlin's then it's not saving anything!

You are such a good momma...but sis most of us grew up eating that stuff and we all have lived....so give yourself a break! You work so hard you need to take care of yourself....I keep tellin ya that!:girlnails
I know I know! I wasn't doing it because I didn't like Gerber...my older daughter ate gerber, but I thought I could save money and I really enjoy doing it, until last night of course. I have a small hand mill so she can still eat plenty of fresh foods.

That's what I was thinking last night. I was moving her from one toy to another trying to keep her entertained and making my husband change her and everything else, so that I could get the stuff made and then I had to put her in bed and let her cry herself to sleep because she was fighting her sleep and I felt really bad that I wasn't able to spend more time with her than what I did.

Yeah.. and it makes a mom want to cry just thinking about it.
My daughters are 18 and 14. I am very thankful that the oldest isn't even considering marriage right now. She's more worried about getting her car paid for and getting a college education. I can live with that. :heeheehee

Sis I love you and hate to see you stressed like this. That is where you have to put the limits! Give yourself time and you still have plenty of it... She is little she will be happy with anything... I know as parents we long to get them just what they want but I have realized even with my older ones... its the thought that counts sincerely... They really dont care what they open on CHristmas morning as long as there is a gift there its happy!
Enjoy those babies this season! Thats the best gift you can give them :) You will be much happier and so will they in the long run.

I know...but I really want to get her this one thing she wants and it is like $30.00 but online and with shipping it ends up being almost $60.00!!!! Double the price!!!! But it is the only thing she is asking for and I know she would LOVE it! I just wish she would have told me sooner. I haven't bought her much yet because she would never tell me what she wanted and I had no clue what to buy her. I get tired of buying junk that she doesn't play with. Whenver we buy her less - but buy her things she really likes (like her gameboy) she really plays with them and I feel that we get our money's worth.
