Many people in Judea saw Jesus in the 1st century. Very few were chosen as apostles. I have known at least 3 people who claimed to have seen Jesus. None of them claimed apostleship.
Matter of fact at least 2 of them are now backslid.

Why did Jesus say somewhere he would never appear to anyone after Paul?

His website has pictures of clouds he claims is "Jesus." He also has a blurry pic of "Jesus" walking through Chicago.
Some may be interested in the dream dictionary on his website. He lists various things and his belief as to what dreaming about them could mean.

Yet, stuff like this will never ever end. It isn't the preacher's fault alone. It is the fault also of the people who support this jack leg jelly bean. When I first watched this, I thought this joker went to the deposition without a lawyer, then he turns to someone off camera and calls him his lawyer. The lawyer "tries" to assist, but epically fails, and I mean epically. The lawyer crashed and burned so badly that he left his client "parasitical television pastor" to be filleted wide open. Then video ends.

From what I understand, Taylor and his "ministry" - JMMI - were under the microscope for a huge donation a woman gave to the "ministry." Over a million bucks. To make it worse, there was a court order (divorce?) clearly prohibiting her from donating any money to this con man. She did anyway and he was being deposed by, IIRC, her ex's lawyer.

Her brother was Jim Yohe who started Faith Child Forum. Which morphed into NFCF which his Sister tried to make into "dog pile on the Pentecostal" forum. Where Ultracons were covered with tar pitch and lit on fire to light her gladiatorial forum. Where Apostolic Ultracon haters would come to attack everything Apostolic Holiness. She would eventually have her husband suggest that she use her talents elsewhere and leave the forum to others. I preached tent meetings where my feet would slosh in my shoes. I do believe that you should have good equipment. A good belt is at least 50 dollars. But 5,000 dollar belt? That thing should drive the bus, clip your nose hairs, and order you breakfast. I thought it was so funny, and that video isn't the only one. There are others, this guy is a creep of the highest order. He doesn't give Christianity a bad name because people don't believe he is a minister, let alone a Christian. Jokers like this guy will always be selling snake oil to the highest bidder. This jackleg preacher will go down in flames, and only rise like a phoenix in another area.

I have disagreed with many posters here in this forum, including Bro. Blume, but the only who I ever blocked was Sean, because he is a person totally devoid of any biblical wisdom, so I decided he was not worth taking into any consideration.

Paid, doing it because she is part of the group?
Seeing something? Joseph Smith was he making money? Did he see something?
The list goes on and on. Does the Bible tell us that to have a closer relationship with Jesus we need to actually see Jesus? No, the opposite. But the one video with the two girls have something interesting. The one girl says if you are a Bible but I’ll give you scripture. These so called movements shrink away from scrutiny, criticism, and Bible examination. This individual has seen Jesus thousands of times but beat his child so bad that the child was removed from his home? They are seeing something, but it sure is t the Kingdom.

Amen, it is disappointing.
Amen, it is disappointing.
What is it about the Christian community that we leap at a gimmick? I'm serious here...matters not what label we wear, Christians of every stripe seem to relish the absurd, and I don't get it.
If it's not laying uncut hair on a lamp when the bulb burn out it's pulpits splitting in half, and now this...it's just craziness.
The 'every wind of doctrine' spirit is everywhere...so disturbing. VY said on a video that she came upon this book because she was seeking "more." And there's nothing wrong with desiring to know more and grow more, but when more takes us into delusion, all in the name of 'enlightenment', something is seriously wrong.
My brother is the pastor of a church in Illinois, and he says this..."Enlightenment will never take away from Light already given. It will only enhance it."
At least that's the yardstick I go by...
I'm finished now.

What is it about the Christian community that we leap at a gimmick? I'm serious here...matters not what label we wear, Christians of every stripe seem to relish the absurd, and I don't get it.
I think it's not limited to Christians. I think it is symptomatic of modern western society. And, I think it is entirely biblical:
The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
(Deuteronomy 28:28-29 KJV)
The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
(Isaiah 19:14 KJV)
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again. He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
(Job 12:23-25 KJV)

There is a video I posted of two girls who are testifying about the preacher who is spearheading this circus act. One girl quotes a verse and says "this is for all the Bible nuts" The thing about the Scarismatic movement is that for the most part they don't like doctrine. Forget about a preacher quoting Greek and Hebrew over a pulpit. This guys find the weirdest ideas about everything from the Tower of Babel being a rocket ship to God impregnating us with the Word. It goes from mild to wild. Yet, people love the goof ball void of doctrine Churchanity.
If it's not laying uncut hair on a lamp when the bulb burn out it's pulpits splitting in half, and now this...it's just craziness.
Brother William Chalfant wanted Word Aflame press to carry his anti-Preterist book. But they didn't want to sell it because Brother Chalfant called Josephus a Roman sycophant. The reason they gave him is that too many of the brethren thought highly of the Josephus material. Elder Chalfant was absolutely right about Josephus, and with the research it was easy see that the adopted Flavian was bogus. Yet, since Josephus was a household name they decided against Elder Chalfant's book. But, Power Before the Throne, by Ruth Rieder was given a pass. Filled with leprechauns, wood sprites, and colorful unicorns which couldn't be found in the pages of the Bible even if you used a flashlight and a laser beam. But, it was welcomed with open arms. Elder Chalfant presents his case why he doesn't favor Josephus, and Ruth Rieder believes that uncut hair on a woman is angelic WFii. Because people want the far out and odd.
The truth be known, Sister Vickie Yohe wants to be Supergirl, standing akimbo while the lights are on her. She said intimacy meant "into me?" Did she get her etymology from Dr Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham? She sits on Facebook and gathers in the sheaves. Those who really desire more, hopefully won't stop at Sister Vicki's ecclesiastical tourist trap. But move on when they notice that the prophetical two headed tortoise has one head taped on.
My brother is the pastor of a church in Illinois, and he says this..."Enlightenment will never take away from Light already given. It will only enhance it."
Excellent in wisdom. No truer words, and words which may break the chains of goof ball Crazymatic Churchanity.
At least that's the yardstick I go by...
I'm finished now.
Sister, the Lord bless you, your family, and continue to keep you moving in an unhindered direction in Christ.

Isn't this a bit of chickens coming home to roost? Now, don't get me wrong, there are a lot of very sane and noble people in Pentecost, but there has been a tolerated fringe for a long time, too, that frequently gets the limelight because there is a pre-conditioning at times, to expect God to do anything and everything under the sun, so one spiritual high needs must lead to the next and the next, and when the well runs dry, go find another one, regardless of where the water's been.
I remember listening to a sermon by JT Pugh years ago, and if memory serves, he was invited to go hear a preacher somewhere so he went and the guy was talking about gold dust and fillings turning into gold and when there was some resistance, he began berating the assembly with "My God can do anything! My God can do anything", at which point Brother Pugh interjected "Except LIE!"
I feel a sort of compassion for those who get caught up in such shenanigans, because Acts is full of the most wonderful, wild stories of the raw power of God, and we just want to see the same occur here in our world, but that desire becomes concupiscence because people go about it the wrong way, to try and see those things. Short-cuts get short results.

That... and I believe he mentioned that someone tried to poison him, when he didn’t die the person ate of the same dish and died. But I could be blending two different messages.
Anyway. I told my friend, “These guys can’t even perform biblical miracles, but they wanna talk about this new thing and gold fillings.”

Yes.
In our library we have every book written on the issue.
I quickly read through the book last night. Unless I missed something, most of the book seems to pretty much adhere to sound doctrine, until chapter 6 when she gets into "Guardians of the Glory". She really stretches Ezekiel 28:16 and I Corinthians 11:15 beyond their intention and comes up with a sort of super spiritual rendering of simple obedience. Then gives some testimonies that really have nothing to do with hair, but attributes them to uncut hair.
I guess my point is, it took me less than an hour to read the book. The writing is pretty elementary and it's obvious that Reider/Harvey is no theologian, but she says some pretty good things in the book and offers some good defense of the holiness lifestyle. I honestly believe that she wrote the book out of a love for holiness. If it were not for "Guardians of the Glory", I would feel no conflict about giving the book to a new convert. Am I missing something?
I'm certain that some of my ministering brethren would laugh me to scorn for what I just said, but I wonder...whether the majority of the criticism of the book is actually due to the content or due to the forward of a prominent evangelist that has a tendency toward the unbelievable and the extraordinary?

We triumph over the devil by the blood of Jesus Christ and by the word of our testimony. The testimony we have accumulated since we have been in the church serving Christ. Our lives or our status isn't important, but who Jesus is in our lives is what is important. We don't need Jesus walking through the congregation with glowing robes, we don't need to feel we can command angels because we obey Jesus. We KNOW that He is, and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM.

Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
1 Corinthians 2:12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Timothy 6:3-5 English Standard Version (ESV)
3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 4 he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
2 Peter 2:3
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
It would appear that the making of profit from the things of God is the mark of a false teacher or teaching.

If Vicki Yohe seen Jesus she would've repented of being charismatic, and we would be able to tell. Your not going to see Jesus and not become more like HIM. Her singing on TBN in a coat of many colors burlap sack that looked like a hoodie isn't it either though. I guess anything that can make you look more in touch with your Jewish roots is holiness to some. Hey I went to a Apostolic church where the women all cut their hair wore jeans and make up but they all had prayer shawls from Israel so I guess thats the new holiness standard.... Lol
Not that it's all about the outside but, it would've showed up on the outside if you saw Jesus. I wonder if she has seen or "experienced" the trinity also...

He wrote a book claiming to see Jesus regularly. She read the book, also claims to have had a dream about seeing Jesus. She saw an opportunity to put a rumor to rest, he saw an opportunity to expand his book sales and get more followers.
Pretty sad -- you have a man claiming to be a minister and a prophet who is instead a grifter and hireling, sleeping around with multiple women; and you have a woman who's still singing on TBN and in churches and at conferences who's sending sext messages and nude pics and having sex with a man who is supposed to be a minister.

You think?
Anyway, does anyone happen to know how many times recently Jesus has appeared to Miss Yohe?

When He appears to these people is He speaking Hebrew, Greek, Latin, or English? Does He say, Hi I am Jesus? What is He wearing? a robe , or a suit?
There was a woman who said that she saw Jesus, and that he was in a long white robe, with long flowing blonde hair, with long fingernails. I told her that it might not of been Jesus who appeared.

I realize this thread was started over a year ago, but I'm not coming around to it. Some time last week, I finally watched the video of Vicki Yohe "seeing Jesus" on YouTube.
Forgive me, but I haven't watched, nor read, everything posted or linked here, but has she said she physically saw Him? The video where she "sees" Him doesn't lead me to the assumption that she's saying she saw Him physically, but I could be in error.
She's still speaking in tongues, though. Does she still have the Spirit, or is that flesh she spreading?

Vicki Yohe only sees money. Speaking in tongues? Yes, when she counts money.
HR, Vicki Yohe still have the Spirit? She has the spirit of Xmas, with the face of Halloween.

Okay, I get you, and I tend to agree. She's went astray.

No remorse for her sin. No thought of repentance. Stupidly posting her dirt for thousands to see. She's more worried about falling out of favor with her ex lover than she is about displeasing God.
Still true.

They adopted 2 children. They have been divorced for a few years now. She mentioned it briefly on a segment on TBN. I was surprised.

That is so sad, I am truly sorry to hear this. My prayers for all involved, especially the children.

After taking a moment to check out this dude Taylor, my thoughts are u have to pretty stupid to let someone take advantage of you in this regard. I know there are many vulnerable people out there and these charismatic types prey on them but still SMH. Any hint of a sexual favor or over abundance of giving should send smoke signals.

That David E Taylor thing is pretty messed up. So they say that if you buy the book, you will receive a visitation from the Lord, and that it is happening because the Lord made a covenant with Taylor.
What a scam.

I believe she was the owner of the forum at one point.
I even received a free Christmas CD from her!
The forum was started by her late brother Jim Yohe as Faithchild Forum (FCF).
And she was not only a member, but an active poster.

I know that she was owner of NFCF. Her brother called me years ago and asked me to join FCF. Which I did, and migrated from FCF, NFCF, GoodNewsCafe, and here on AFF. I wonder why Vicki didn’t give me a autographed Xmas CD?

Better to let the CD rest wherever it may be. It may be about Xmas, but I’ll guess it really has the spirit of Halloween.
