Where is our Cardinal's smiley? They actually have something to grin about!Since the last time the Cubs won the World Series the poles that were to carry all the pennant/league flags have rusted and been removed.
What else has happened since Cubs won the big one?

I'm getting ready for my league as well....I've never been part of one.
I know in football you usually go after a RB first. What about B-ball.
I'm leaving for the day. But would love to discuss this more witcha.

definately position players first.... pitchers could have "great" years and not really be much different statistically than other "good" players.... plus they only affect your team every five or so days.... whereas a great position player is in there everyday, and can have a MUCH bigger positive impact on your team....
make sure to get 4 or 5 tool guys over ones that only excel in 2 or 3 areas.... if you are weak in one area (HRs, SB, etc) you can pick up guys in mid-to-late rounds that can shore up those weak areas....
draft "potential" players vs "twilight years" players in later rounds.... if even one of the last four or five round guys goes off, that might be enough to push you further in the playoffs, provided you actually make it....
oh, and make sure to get at least one good closer.... preferably two.... they can really help the pitching stats on a team throughout the year....

Pujols, Carlos Lee.
You pick the pitchers.

I retired from Fantasy Sports after winning the superbowl in two leagues and going to the championship in another this past football season...I'm hanging up the towel as I cannot afford the time it took from me to be real competitive...I am finishing up my basketball season right now and am tied for first place...good chance I will be in the playoffs. But that's all she wrote for me...time to enjoy my retirement years...I'm joining Tiki...

I would bet on Derrik more than Aramis. Aramis will have a good second half...or a good 1st half. he usually does REALLY well either before or after the all star game. my money is on derrik. i like Aramis too, but rather have derrik up when the game depends on it.
Derrick, not Carlos [lol] is a nice player .. LA ... but if I were a betting man ... you have to play percentages ... also he is a better fielder that Derrick ..
