Help...Does anyone know the the lyrics and chords to the song "I Choose To Be A Christian." I remember Loretta Earl singing that song (early 90's) but not sure who the actual artist is. I've tried some of the webistes I'm familiar with and cannot find it anywhere. I know some of the words...

I have searched too and can't find anything either. I have a young lady that wants to sing that song - she isn't scheduled to sing for a couple of weeks so I have some time to find it and practice playing before she sings. Again thanks!

Thanks alot! I didn't realize there was other verses. I haven't heard it for about 14 years or so. Chords would be great...sometimes I can play by ear if the song is simple and sometimes I don't hear everything - certain chords.

Okay, I know I'm a little wacky and off the wall, but once upon a time, after leading praise and worship and singing this wonderful song a lot at a certain church, I got a little tired of the naysayers and unbelivers in the group so I added this verse. I don't know the legal author or the ramifications of this addition, but this spin to the song certainly added another dimension!!!

Dan Dean wrote the song, I Choose To Be A Christian, before he became Phillips, Craig and Dean. He came to our church in Madera when Bro. Bow was our pastor and sang it along with several others that he wrote. I remember him telling the story of how he sat at the piano and wrote it. I want to say that he wrote I Will Give You All also but I don't remember him actually saying that he did. It was on his first solo tape though, along with I Choose To Be A Christian.

I don't know the cords but I know the words.. I think the original artists was Phillip, Craig and dean??? Shirley Ceasar sang it as well. Hope this helps.
