Did you hear that SISTER JAUNITA BYNUM was just interviewed on the Tom JOyner Show ????Well, Tom asked her that if she was a profitess, oh, I mean prophetess how come she didn't see this coming? WOW WOW WOW!!!

She used the same illustration that she used on TBN about the accident that she had and someone sided swiped her. Tom asked her to respond in reference to her husband contesting and counter suing for cruelty treatment and she said that she wouldn't respond to lies and slander. She said that she will be on the cover of the December issue of Essence and it will have a complete interview there. There are somethings she just can't talk about right now. It came out that she owed a production company $150,000 for the stage play No More Sheets, but she decided to promote her CD instead. The company served her at a concert. Juanita thought that she was signing an autograph until the server told her that she has been served. They said to day that she has only paid $25,000. Juanita also said that back in 2005 she filed for divorced but rescinded. Jawn Murray said that this is the best soap opera ever. LOL!

It was reported in an article in a community newspaper in Atlanta that regarding Weeks that has been in a community paper yesterday that he has been in counseling session with Bishop Sheilds in Norcross, GA at Greater Hopewell. Sheilds himself is on his third marriage. Anyway, apparently Weeks is preparing himself to step down for six to eight months to go through counseling.

Creflo Dollars Ministries “Threatens to murder” National Talk Show Host Reuben Armstrong


A callwas received from World Changers Church International located in College Park, Georgia headed by prosperity leader Rev. Dr. Creflo Dollar have allegedly threatened TV talk Show Host Reuben Armstrong .

Armstrong, who received a call from the church phone with several people switching the phone from one person to another says that his life was threatend and is in danger. According to Armstrong's phone records below the call was from the office of World Changers International and was received on August 28th 2007 at 12:13 p.m. (CST). During a press conference Armstrong and his staff said, "when the call came in the members sounded very, very, angry, saying they are aware their pastor is misleading the Body of Christ, but we are going to harm you if you published the book, 'Snakes in the Pulpit'." According to the phone bill the conversation lasted for 24 minutes. Armstrong said “I was trying to find out why they want to harm me and my family.” A spoke person advised the media that Mr. Armstrong has moved to a secured area for his safety.

I received word that Pastor Rod Parsely was just at Word of Life Christrian Center - Colorado and he was EXTREMELY CANDID about the Weeks’ and the White’s. I heard that he was so candid that Some were quite offended by what he had to say and it was not nice. He did not name names per se, but everyone knew EXACTLY who he was talking about. Apparently, he was one of the "spiritual fathers" of both Juanita and Paula and when he told both of them to give up their ministries months ago, they refused.

Just for CLARIFICATION sake...and NO ONE should get on to Thad for this...

Pastor Larson was admitted to the hospital this past week. Without going into detail about the nature of his stay or admittance, he was admitted for a few days.

Today, Pastor Larson attended/addressed our second morning service and stated that he was admitted and has a clean bill of health.

I am going to state...let no one get on Thad for this. This was the word that I received as well....and he is my pastor.

I think I'll post here one time just to give my regards to Thad.

I came to FCF in February of 2004 and have said all along that Thad represents the things I miss about my life in "ole time pentecost" with his sheer enthusiasm and his interest in things fellowship-wide.

(Digressing, Rayford Strange makes me feel the same way.)

There have been plenty posters over the last four years who remind me why I'm glad I left it far behind.

"Thad's Tab" was nothing more or less than what was talked about and IN THE MANNER talked about on a fellowship-wide basis around pastors' tables after services, around campmeeting concession stands and general conference halls.

This comes from a former full-time evangelist of nine years who sat around pastors' tables from the Alabama District to the Idaho District.

I defended Thad against his naysayers before and was glad to do so.

So, in the spirit of Thad's Tab ... what's been going on around good ole Alexandria?

I took a quick trip to California last weekend. It was impromptu; the plane ticket was paid for so how could I refuse?

I flew into Ontario International Airport.

I made, what was for me a pilgrimage, to the Richard Nixon Library and Museum and stood at the gravesite of the man I consider to be the greatest president of the 20th century. That was the only tourist spot I had a chance to see.

Of course, I went to the beach at Costa Mesa.

This was my first time in "The Golden State" in almost 45 years when I lived in San Diego as a small child when dad was in the Navy.

I admit I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a heat wave, a jungle and a dunghole, based on my impressions from afar of southern California in 2007.

Now I probably would have found that in Los Angeles proper. I was in Orange County, in which you about have to be a millionaire to live.

But I was wonderfully surprised at the balmy seventy degree weather, the breathtaking scenery, the electric blue sky without a hint of smog and the wide, clean streets in Ontario, Rialto, Yorba Linda, Costa Mesa, etc.

Uh, no ... I didn't have a chance to visit "Loophole Larry's" church.

On the way home, I was delayed by a canceled flight in Dallas but I enjoyed the time there and found a GREAT steakhouse in Euless.

Deplaning at Alexandria, and heading out of the security area I saw a portly elderly man sitting at one of the gates waiting to board a plane. He was chowing down hard on a bag of peanuts.

Yep. I knew I recognized him. It was ... Tom Fred Tenney.

(And no, I am NOT going to play that stupid game of putting peoples' initials. If it's okay to call the name of a TBN'er, then I'll call the name of whomever, thank you.)

I said a quick hello and I frankly don't believe it dawned on him who I was. It was crowded and I didn't stop to speak. I was decked out in black Nike wind pants, an LSU tank top and a purple LSU cap so it probably took him a bit to realize who it was who waved at him.

Coincidence.

When I got home and unpack, I ran down the street for a quick meal at Piccadilly.

Sitting down a few tables away was ... Thetus Tenney.

She was with Nita Hale. Nita is David Hale's wife. David was TFT's administrative aide back in the 80s before Loren Yadon.

I believe David now is head administrator for Tommy Tenney.

Her cellphone rang and she said "Hey Darlin'" so I assume Tom Fred called her before the flight.

I hadn't run into either Tenney for a couple or three years and then running into both of them separately was a bit coincidental.

Anyway Thad, this post is not a return but since I posted strictly for Jeannie and Brother Strange on one thread ...

My insider said that Paula had developed very close feelings for a young African American gentleman that was her Minister of Music and traveled extensively with the popular evangelist to play the organ for her when she was on the road preaching. Purportedly, the young man named Javen was playing a little more than the organ for Paula, but was giving her something that she could feel and was letting her know his love for her was real. According to my source, things were getting serious and it was no way Paula and Javen could hide their feelings for each other any longer. About two years ago, Javen was relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his music career, which was heavily financed by Paula White. This young man could often be found accompanying Paula at high profile African American events like MegaFest, Trumpet Awards, and BET Awards.

WOW! I wrote a few weeks ago of how I caught a few minutes of one of Paula's shows on TBN and how she couldn't keep her hands off this guy that was singing. All pressing up against him, rubbing his back, walking around the stage with her arm around him.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Sad. Sick. And TBN approves of her lifestyle by promoting her "ministry." :vomit

I know a lot who have done this for years. Either pastors or their staff. It saves a ton on airfare and you can also thru some companies get a discount if you are a pastor for even signing up as an agent. One of my best friends husband was a paw pastor and they signed up yrs ago. Very cost effective if you travel much.

Rhoni....I attend that church (thought that was common knowledge). What Thad posted here was what a lot of us in the church were told as well. I also stated earlier in this thread to not get on Thad for reporting this.

I will not go into any more details about this...but what he had reported at the time was what even members in the church were told about. I also posted later on Sunday that he did come to church and addressed us with the report that I gave earluer. I will not go into any more details then that.

My oldest daughter (13 in 2 weeks) just got her acceptance letter to go on the student ambassador program, She will be leaving June 18th 2008 to go to Paris, London, the Netherlands and one other place, She is so excited as we are just as excited for her! Her best friend went last year and had a wonderful time and I know Zoey will have a blast also and learn so much.

So anywho thats my brag for the day... Just so so proud of my baby!

(we just went and got the rest of our stuff out of storage this weekend) so its like Christmas all over again and now I cant sleep another night oh the drama!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am gonna go clean some more... somehow my hearth has become covered in Christmas decorations (no I am not already decorating) since I unpacked all the church decorations I have to find somewhere to put all this mess so I have a fireplace before the year 2010!!!

Last Night I went to a Service in Oakland. Bishop jakes was the speaker.
it was held at the Oracle Colisium. i estimate there was about 20,000.

my first **Shock** came when I went to go inside for church, I was told that i had to have a Ticket!!! the ticket was $10.50. so is this the new trend?? collecting tickets at the door to go to a church service????

Let me first say, when the Bay area does it they do it up right! The Love center Choir and praise team provided the music - Their Choir is unbelievable! (i could have done with out the praise flags though).
Then Tramaine Hawkins sung and tore it up! they had to drag her off the stage she was overcome lol ! Then Donnie McClurkin sung an old hymn " standing on the promises" and testified how he is no longer in good health- Diabetes.

AND THEN!! Bishop Bloomer gets up to take up an Offering -he must have taken an hour you would not believe the trickery this Man used to pawn money from people- unreal.he demanded 1 million in the offering and had floks chanting..." something about adding another Zero " to their bank account if they gave.
my Next **SHOCK** came when they started dragging Huge garbage cans from the back and placing them in front of the pulpit!! you should have seen them stuffing cash in those garbage cans. the people cam eby the thousands to give! THEN! Bishop Hines(from Milwalkee) gets up in the mic and says " Don't you people even think about coming up here asking for change!!" was like Whaaaat!! Not everyone was falling for this. you should have heard all them color fok talking about money grubbin' preachers OUT LOUD! i was laughing my head off! they were too funny talking about how the banks close at 1 pm on saturday and how those preachers will be rushing to the banks first thing in the morning! lol

Then Jakes preached- He did okay. pretty much his usual message of encouragment. everything was fine UNTIL!!! he started taking up yet another offering!!! I was like " it's time to go".

all you cons will be surprised and saddend to hear this- while i was still in the lobby, he also made an alter call and led folks in the sinners prayer lol.
also, he ask the audience to be watching this monday as he co-host the Dr phil show. He seemed to be implying that the church world should be the ones on Daytime TV.

Now, re your commentary, I would have paid the $$ at the door in a heartbeat just to hear Love Center, Tremaine, and Donnie. That said, I am not a fan of paying a ticket price for church service...doesn't make it wrong. It's just my humble opinion.

As for the offerings...oh well...

Don't agree with it or think it is necessary, regardless of WHAT group is doing it.

Last Night I went to a Service in Oakland. Bishop jakes was the speaker.
it was held at the Oracle Colisium. i estimate there was about 20,000.

my first **Shock** came when I went to go inside for church, I was told that i had to have a Ticket!!! the ticket was $10.50. so is this the new trend?? collecting tickets at the door to go to a church service????

Then Jakes preached- He did okay. pretty much his usual message of encouragment. everything was fine UNTIL!!! he started taking up yet another offering!!! I was like " it's time to go".

all you cons will be surprised and saddend to hear this- while i was still in the lobby, he also made an alter call and led folks in the sinners prayer lol.
also, he ask the audience to be watching this monday as he co-host the Dr phil show. He seemed to be implying that the church world should be the ones on Daytime TV.

There was absolutely NO anointing whatsoever on the show. Now, DR. Phil's a Christian!

TD Jakes disappointed me that nite.

As far as the prosperity stuff, I just read in Gospel Today magazine that the greatest threat to the church today is the prosperity message.

Folks need to get real with God and stop the foolishness.

Ppl are not gonna keep financing idiocy, foolishness and a farce.

As long as these folks keep putting money in the buckets and swarming these places proporting false doctrine, there will be 'preachers' selling this stuff.

from the words of a friend who is not apostolic - his recent thoughts on Jakes....as far as Jakes goes. I don't consider him preaching the gospel anymore. he, Joel Osteen, etc. have become affirmation gurus, spiritual Tony Robbins type people. they don't exeggetically teach or preach the word anymore. jakes and that bunch talk bout getting your stuff back, excelling in buisness, reafirming the positive image of oneself. jakes had a God given opportunity to affect the body with the power of preaching the cross, a crucified life, walking in purity, etc. instead fame and fortune has taken his ministry. s.

any truth to these comments ? OR do preachers evolve as they get older? Have the times changed and those not in agreement not keeping up ? i want to stay open minded but after last night, i have to say, i wonder if there may be some merit to what critics are saying about the prosperity thing. everthing seems to be about money now.

I LOVE that song " right place, right time" - my choir rolls their eyes when when i sing the same songs but that song just works! lol

that was a great message" don't let the fire go out" - our pastor has been preaching a lot of message along that line lately
