Episode 9: ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!
You are going to love this week's episode. It features guest appearances by several of my friends.
Ok picture a bunch of moron guys trying to act like football coaches. EPISODE NINE
is about our fantasy football league, and if you have no clue what a fantasy football league is you just have to watch. It includes some really stupid footage at the local Wingstop (buffalo wing joint) and a lot of smack talk. It was fun. Hope it blesses you and you get a few laughs.

I don't support the Jeremy Foster Show is any way. We don't attend events that JF is at, we don't fellowship with his dad's church, and we don't fellowship with churches that have JF preach for them. If the RES passes I will no longer care for I will no longer be UPC.

1. They can use who they want to, and not use who they don't want to.
2. I don't blame them either way.
3. It's not like lil Jeremy doesn't have a pedigree to carry him through the criticism.
4. He is not a licensed minister so he can do what he wants to with hellevision.
5. It won't matter after Friday.

Is Resolution 4 about sons of preachers having television shows on cable networks?
or
does a resolution concerning the use of TV to advertize inherently equate to 10lbs of plastic explosives in the core structure of a 60 year old dam?
just wondering....

In short, yes.

i think you're right but there are a lot pastors that are now determined to go on TV whether it passes or not AND they also know that their Districts wont do anything about it because behind the scenes they are being supported.

...keeping with the raging water visual.....
when the water gets out into the wider places, it quickly changes to a much more quiet thing.
Technology convergence and the general population's indifference will make this a quickly dissipating turbulence. There may be plenty of water, just not viewed as threatening by most who see it.

Regardless of whether it passes or how it is amended, there will be guys doing exactly what they want, prominent enough guys that they will get by with it.
And when they get by and the precedent is set, anybody else that wants to will jump on the bandwagon.
There might be a district board or two with enough backbone to enforce it, but they will be the exception and not the rule.

Yea, i really think it's going to change regardless of a resolution or not. in fact, some that are for it have already declared what they plan to do resolution or not.
in a few years it wont matter - everyone that has a computer will also have a TV from what i am hearing

So now I am posting all over the place, just FYI, from my impecable sources, this weekend revival that J. Foster preached at, 23 first time visiting young people received the Holy Ghost, with a few refusing to leave without being baptised. As for one church dis-fellowshipping (where does that word even come from) another over it, we are talking CA, remember? What is new? So much love and harmony floating around CA.

You're are right, CA. has become very polorized- it's really unforunante for the young people. I think it sends a bad message. so many of them are even divided now and confused too - would you agree?

The next generation is already way ahead of the organization, the big GC resolution is dealing with the past. If we have the Spirit of God and the love of God we should be able to be relevant and also maintain holiness in our living. The question is, is the UPC a relevant envoy of the gospel in the 21th century?

I absolutely agree. Teenagers have complete opinions about what other churches supposed spiritual standings are, based on what they have heard. And usually it is inaccurate. And they think that because this church or that is not up to their churches "standards", they cannot fellowship them. Or worse, they are absolutely told from the pulpit that they cannot. So, Pentecostal young people walk by each other in the mall, and cannot speak to each other. There HAS to be something in the Bible about this, oh wait, yeah, the ENTIRE Bible! Judge not, lest you be judged, cast not the first stone, ........

I was not alluding to UR on that particular post. Rather that the question of the use of technology is not even a question for the next generation, it is already accepted and being used in all quarters. The question is will the UPC embrace technology's use for the gospel. Many times folks that have been so restrained will not have the balance to use new technology and yet remain faithful to the gospel and to biblical holiness.

Yes it is! And tragic that it gets lost in all the other stuff! The really sad thing is , and I am currently praying about this, this young preacher, if he doesn't stay completely prayed up, and work over time to keep his spirit right, could follow a lot of other people who leave this organization bitter and disillusioned. I'm not saying that because of any personal knowledge about him, I just know what he is being put through right now, and it takes a very strong person not to be affected by that.
