Branson is the "live music capital of the world" for former headliners. Mile after mile of cheap motels and $3.99 breakfast buffets. Home sweet home for entertainers who no longer receive top billing.
Las Vegas is a much better place for meetings. :)

After the buffet, they could catch one of Dino's concerts with the dancing waterfalls. Dino, for those who don't know, is the flamboyant Charismatic Liberace who has his own show on TBN.

If its at Branson surely tickets will be sold. Hopefully it will also be broadcast. Isn't only the gospel that should be banned from TV?

they had one last year in houston
I was told that they are going to gather a consensus at this one to decide how many would be interested in forming a fellowship. I am NOT saying a fellowship is forming for sure! just the possibility

Thad,
Once again you have your stories all mixed up. I will be at that meeting. It was set up BEFORE General Conference, and has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with forming another organization. It is a ministers' retreat. That's it. One of the men involved has been independent all his life -- in fact, his father was independent before him. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this meeting that involves the beginning of a new organization.
Sorry to rain on your parade.

If there is a meeting, I don't know anything about it. However, you stated it was the one in Branson. That is not the case.

Listen up, son...what are your 'sources' telling you about my Bishop and this meeting?!
I put in some calls Saturday and spoke with a friend for a bit...she knew nothing about pulling out, other than it has been mentioned in the past.
Oh, and Bishop and Sis. W didn't go to GC, but we already knew that from your source Friday night.
That's all I know...she did say that Bro. RK had been VERY sick, but was much better...mix up in meds or something.

Maybe we could book one of the auditorium and have a good ole SINGSPIRATION just like in the good ole days!
I think the demise of the UPC was when we started singing those Rock-n-Roll choruses from the projector and not from the Pentecostal Praises Hymnal.

Obviously you live in La., TX , or MS.
Having a tent revival in the 21st century is really being unwilling to let go of old methods
It may be fun for nostalgia's sake but as the popularity of tent revivals died out over the last few decades about the only ones left frequenting them are the itinierent saints looking for a thrill without having to commit to a real church.
Do you guys play the accordian in the tent revial?:killinme

I can see it as a kind of chuch reunion. That would be fun. As a legitimate outreach I think it is past it's prime.
What time of year did Bro. Barnes die? Please tell me you are not having a tent revival in La. in the summer!!!!!!
