One of the owners contacted me today and we discussed some problems that have arose.so,best I remove myself from the forum. this time I had to agree he was right and i am in no way upset at him or anyone. in fact, there are plenty of people upset at me.
I am writing this so there is no speculation.
I sincerely can tell you from my heart that i never meant to offend any of the Brethren. The forum to me is like a place to have fun but some of it went over the top. Please accept my heart felt apology!

I pick on him all the time but I've never whined to admin about his antics. I like the guy. He is trying to bridge the past with the present and future. He can't seem to please the people who he feels the need for affirmation the most. Blessing thad. If you're reading this, I'm going to have my son watch some of your church's worship services. I'll tell him to watch the guy in the glasses. You're the type of worship leader I want my son to be.

PM, it's not the owners decision. it's my own. the reason is, the owner told me that i had offended a number of preachers at general conference some leaders. It's no one's fault I'm taking the blame.
I really like it here and love the fellowship but i wont jepordize the reputaion of the forum and all concerned

I didn't even have time to really get mad at you this go around. When I have felt you were wrong in the past I have never wanted you gone, only to post more accurately.
I hate to see ya go again. I imagine emotions are high at the Mothership and those preachers on the losing side of res 4 are probably itching to have someone to take their frustrations out on anyway. They probably did not appreciate your threads about "200 leaving" etc.
Someday I guess there will be a place on the web to disucss those kinds of things but apparently not AFF at this time.
I call them like I see them. Truth is universal.

Since, Thad recognized that he offended a few folks then why wouldn't an apology be in order? This place was dying on the vine when Thad was on his sabbatical and I can't believe that he would leave over someone being offended. We've all been offended at times, but you get over it!

I know it might seem counter-intuitive to some, but what's wrong in leaving the "offending" posts up for a while (delete names, etc. when necessary).
It's kind of helpful for those who push the boundaries to know where the boundaries are. There's obviously a lot of "gray area" out there (and there must be). But why is someone like Thad bounced but I'm tolerated - even egged on? Just asking.
And FWIW my current standing infraction is a result of me flagging my own post - just trying to get some feedback.

Well - I made a New Post (for the first time in a long time) and SOMEBODY deleted it VERY SOON after I posted. They never PMed me - or asked me why I posted it or questioned me or rebuked me or anything! Just deleted - I think - I never could find it - so I assume they deleted it!
Thad - It is sad that you are leaving. I probably will too. They have jerks on here that are mean and ugly and condemn and argue and spew hate over and over - and looks like they are encouraged to keep posting. It is sad that you are are leaving. Please stay in touch.
Honestly Thad and Atlanta Bishop are why I keep tuning in. I guess a few are still wielding power. I enjoyed Thad's comments, a little off based, but still enjoyable.

Yes, I find it disheartening that so many of his posts are clearly gossip and a few times borderline slander. I also find it disheartening that so many see it as "all in good fun..." It's a little discouraging to see people whom I would otherwise respect, participating in his clearly unscriptural behavior.
I've just made the decision to stay away from his gossip threads.

One of the owners contacted me today and we discussed some problems that have arose.so,best I remove myself from the forum. this time I had to agree he was right and i am in no way upset at him or anyone. in fact, there are plenty of people upset at me.
I am writing this so there is no speculation.
I sincerely can tell you from my heart that i never meant to offend any of the Brethren. The forum to me is like a place to have fun but some of it went over the top. Please accept my heart felt apology!

PM, it's not the owners decision. it's my own. the reason is, the owner told me that i had offended a number of preachers at general conference some leaders. It's no one's fault I'm taking the blame.
I really like it here and love the fellowship but i wont jepordize the reputaion of the forum and all concerned

C'Mon if those dudes at Gen. Conf. got all offended they need to look in the mirror an laugh at themselves a little bit. None of them are as important as they think they are. Thad and everyone else deserves the right to say what they think and if they put up something that gets a good discussion going more power to him. Thad I am in your corner. Can I just say that I for one do NOT wish to belittle or in any way dishonor one of the owners or administrators of this forum. It is my understanding that this individual is genuinely concerned about Thad and the forum and about those who have expressed displeasure with some of the opinions that have been posted.
When I express my truly heartfelt sadness that Thad is leaving, that is really the exact meaning of my post. I'm very very very sad to see that Thad is leaving. He brings TONS OF FUN to this forum. He breaths vitality into this forum.
It's a great exchange of ideas and concepts and differing points of view.

Just a word of CAUTION!!!
If you read one of Thad's posts, you might not want to take it as gospel truth. Might want to wait it out a little while and see where the chips fall.
Back when he announced that the UPC was filing bankruptcy or some such, I got all upset and asked around. Folks just looked at me like I was CRAZY! LOL
So use some wisdom and filtering and wait for the FACTS to present themselves.
That said, it has taken some of Thad's predictions a long while to come to fruition. But they did happen nonetheless.

What blows my mind about this whole situation is that the majority of stuff Thad started threads on is really happening. They all tried to discount his threads but seems as now maybe they were the ones who had their info wrong or didnt get the news! Or Thad had a location wrong or something but he had the majority of it right... what is it? Is it the fact that some just cant handle someone not afraid to come out and tell whats really happening out there to those who arent always privy to the info????

PM, it's not the owners decision. it's my own. the reason is, the owner told me that i had offended a number of preachers at general conference some leaders. It's no one's fault I'm taking the blame.

Look, folks, I hardly ever read in Thad's tab just because most of what he posts about is not of interest to me. And when I do read, I usually just sit her shaking my head in bewilderment. But that's my own opinion.
BUT, everyone had to know that with GC last week that that is all that anyone - including Thad - was going to be talking about on here for the most part. Come on! It was a given!! And this is the kind of stuff that Thad thrives on. I did read it. Everything. I found Thad to be very entertaining through all of this. Some very serious decisions were made at GC and Thad at least put things out on the floor HERE where they could be discussed openly and honestly. Most of the people here did not get a vote in what decisions were made in Orlando. But they did get to express themselves here - primarily thanks to Thad.
And frankly, I think it's a sad day for us as Christian people when we make anyone feel like they've been pushed away. Shame on us - whether it was one person or many (my impression is that it was one person, btw).

There was nothing on his threads any more offensive than anything dozens of other people have been saying for awhile. Most people just don't title the threads with their comments, or put them in Huge Neon Letters surrounded by millions of Asterisks.
So.
Here I go sounding cliched: Those who don't want to read Thad's comments should stay out of his threads. For the most part, Thad's readers hold his feet to the fire, and don't let him get away with all that much, not for lack of trying on his part. :D

Why would anyone threaten to go to his pastor? We had this once on FCF when someone threatened Newman with the same. I came to her defence. Thad just should apologize for crossing the line if he did and try to tone things down some and stay. He has livened things up. I am for him staying.

I think that tattling to someone's pastor is just wrong. This ought to be one of those "safe places" where you can speak your mind and vent. Goodness knows folks have to bite their tongues enough already in the church world. It's a very healthy thing, within reason.
