*** HIS COMMENTS ABOUT DR PHIL ***

To turn on Dr. Phil and see TD Jakes preach the gospel without mentioning, offering, or giving those poor hurting people Christ is a slap in the face to every believer that has followed him. To preach Christ in church, but hide Christ from the world's largest audience is beyond me. I could never do that. Dr. Phil promotes new age doctrine, homosexuality, abortion, and divorce without biblical regulations, and yet he preached at Jakes church and Jakes is now on his show?? But don't worry, the church house negroes will still go to his conferences, defend him, and get mad at those that say anything against him, because they like what's in the house! They like having the trappings of freedom and imagining that it is them out there meeting stars and celebrities, not realizing that they are nothing more than slaves in the house!

*** Wow! Jaunita use to preach against pants, makeup, perms??**

First, this women confesses her sins before everyone and goes in depth to describe her sexual appetite and her carnal cravings in her message No More Sheets. She then states that God does not allow her to wear makeup, pants, or any kind of outfits that will show her figure because the way she was would rise up in her again. So, she basically began preaching in a choir robe with a small Florida Evan's type afro, free of weave, perms, curls, and gel. But then, as the money poured in, the look began to change. I guess God changed his mind because her appearance began to reflect a different personality. But did any of the silly following of hers question her? NO. You don't question the prophetess, as she stated on TBN. "Don't you know you are all just a bunch of dumb sheep?" Those are her exact words, not mine. I would never call the people of God dumb sheep.

There is a new show on BET called "Exalted" which features many preachers. The first show featured Juanita. They mentioned what you posted above. Her room mate from years ago told her a prophetess did not have to look old and homely by dressing in those sacks. The room kate was influential in putting more "class" to the role by dressing up and overhauling her appearance. It's about marketing. She markets.

I am Not interested in ANYTHING Jaunita is doing. It amazes me how there are folks who still defend her!!!

Did you hear that her house was almost auctioned? she did a press conference today and paid up.

the most astonishing thing is this: there were people who were going to have a Big benefit for her to raise money for her to pay her taxes off! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!

The show is not about her. There have been 3 shows so far. The first focused on Juanita. This week...they profiled Bishop Ullmer.

With her thirst for the finer things...she should be able to pay for it. With the movie and all her recent TV appearances...she should be able to pay for it herself. Sounds like she also does not have a good office staff who are not taking care of some of the basics for her.

That's a JOKE! all she's done is exploit herself for money and fame and almost everyone knows it.

i wonder if TBN will keep using her as a host? She has given all of christianity a black eye.

If her divorice goes to trial, there is some dirty laundry that's going to come out that's going to really BAD! Week's is saving his arsonal but he's probably going to come out swinging

What is most surprising is, this is coming from the CHARISMATICS!

NOT the conservative Apostolic stream. So, my question is, who is bashing who?

I think that, at some point, even the charismatic community has to point a finger at such ignorance and refute it.... or they all are going to look guilty of the same depth of compromise and lack of sanctification.

Frankly, I think we'll see more of this kind of exposure of hypocrisy. Some will simply have to if they are going to save face in the midst of such unholy extremes being flaunted in the name of God.

I thought it was interesting that even the Charismatics have 'both extremes', as it were, from those who openly do things contrary to scripture to those who openly refuse to condone it.

In that aspect it would appear they aren't much different than most other groups including the Apostolics.

Thanks for the outdated web site of the cultic Bishop James Darby in Deland, FL. He is so knowledgeable and such a "BIBLE ANSWER MAN" that he has not changed his web site since 2001! Really up to date here. If you can get on here and say that Bishop Jakes "ain't worth a nickle" I will tell you that you that he has baptized more people than you will ever dream of and you don't know what your talking about.

I don't know anything about what Bishop Darby may or may not have said concerning Jakes. However, by your saying that he is cultic assures me that you know absolutely nothing about the man. He is a respected Bishop and Foreign Missions leader within the COOLJC. He always struck me as a very balanced, Christian Gentlemen. So do you know this man or are you making this evalution on the basis of just what one person said? Concerning the website, the Church of Jesus Christ carried on just fine for for Two-thousand years without updated websites-- what does an outdated website prove about a person? Jack. I have enjoyed a lot of what you've had to say, but your calling a distinguished leader "cultic" is way over top. I'm sure you will get a pass on this though, because the Sphere of Pentecostalism that he represents is not to be found on this forum.

Hey JACK, You might want to read his web site! When I lived in Deland I visited there (and drove by there MANY times) and yes, he was nice, kind, hospitable - but STRANGE & CULTIC - Just like the COOLJC! He may be a distinguished leader in his own little group - but for him to say that BISHOP T. D. JAKES "ain't worth a nickle" is so way over the top that I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE ANYWHERE CLOSE to his "Sphere of Pentecostalism".

So now one of the oldest and respected Organizations in Oneness Pentecostalism is "Strange and Cultic"? This is so silly that it doesn't even warrant a response. I have numerous friends who are Ministers in this organization and one made a profound difference in my own life who was a bi-vocational Social Worker, there are a lot of good men you are attacking as "strange and cultic". It seems to me that the few ways that the COOLJC differs from other black organizations are that they forbid Divorce and that they refuse to ordain women.....I think both of these things are POSITIVE. Bishop Bonner in NY has a Television Broadcast, the difference between him and the TBN crowd that you run after is that he hasn't thrown the doctrine out the window. You probably would lable the UPCI, AMF and other Oneness groups "strange and cultic", but that would probably ruffle to many feathers around here huh?

Also concerning what Bishop Darby said, I think this person must have not heard him right or something. I don't think he would say that ANY person made in the image of God is not worth a nickel. This would seem to contridict what he said in a personal conversation I had with him: he seemed to have a lot of confidence in the faith healer A.A. Allen, who was solidly Trinitarian.

2. I have seen Bishop Bonner on TV so I know what he preaches and how he preaches a BLACK JESUS and is a racist. Bishop Bonner's ministry began in the 1940s under the tutelage of the late Bishop Robert C. Lawson, (1883-1961), founder of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith.
Bishop Lawson was an ardent student of the Bible. During his lifetime he wrote many books, poems, songs and articles. Some of his earliest books written in 1925 include the enlightening "Anthropology of Jesus Christ Our Kinsmen," revealing the truth about the Negroid people of the Bible. This book was inspired by his first journey abroad in 1923, where he studied Egyptian painting, monuments and the very reality of black skinned people living in the Holy Land. His book was considered a forerunner of modern Biblical Black history, and served as a startling revelation to the Negroid and Caucasian races.

I think there are aspects of the COOLJC culture that are misguided, anything humans are innvolved is going to be deficient in some respects. I wasn't aware that Bonner believed in a "Black Jesus". If he indeed believes this, it would constitute a reprehensible error, not to mention being irresponsible and ludicrous. I haven't been exposed to the racist element within the COOLJC (and I'm White), if some of their thinking is infected with this non-sense then they need to repent. My main objection was that you where calling a very dear friend of my families "strange and cultic", a man who I know to be Charitable in every sense of the word. You are basing part of this on what someone on an internet forum said about an alleged comment of his. I'm sure what you have said has been taken out of context many times and I'm almost absolutely certain that this is the case here concerning Bishop Darby.

Concerning your relationship to TBN, thats your buisness, I shouldn't have thrown that in and I apologize for that. However, I thought I had read that the mission of your Church was not primarily doctrinal. Doctrine is mearly an exposition of the Christian faith as revealed in Scripture, without doctrine we have NOTHING to preach because Christianity is based on a series of prepositional truths. If you studied Scripture and have come to the conclusion that a "PCI" response to the Gospel is saving, I can respect that. But as you know those who hold a three step view of the gospel really believe that this is the exclusive plan of Salvation by reading the same Bible you do. If you believed that this was the only plan of salvation, don't you think that the only loving thing to do would be to preach the same to a lost world? Would it not be derelict not to warn people of "False Prophets" if you truly believed that the result of being mislead would result in an eternity without Christ in a burning pit? I respect even people I disagree with if they have shown that they take the word of God seriously on both sides of this issue.

First I am not a lover of Bishop Bonner. I don't dislike him either. I think he says a lot of good things. I have heard him preach over the years and don't know anything about rascism?!! Does he believe Jesus if he was seen in the world today in the body he wore 2000 years ago might be considered Black? Yes...but he was asked a question and he gave a truthful biblical answer...jesus didn't come from Europe and had black blood in his line..which means he might look like Obama..which even though he is half white we call him black. This isn't racist at all. The people of that time where of dark and many black descent. Unless you are a 86 year old black man form the south.. ( which he is)...please don't preach to anyone about racism. If you can explain why COOLJC seems Cultist I would gladly discuss this with you.

I think because many of the posters on here knew (know) Thad and realize he could not have meant that in a hateful way.

In fact, he was probably simply repeating what he heard some other person said-- some other person who probably goes to his church, who is probably Black.

These are just my speculations, plus I think this thread is old, as in aged from awhile ago.

In fact, he was probably simply repeating what he heard some other person said-- some other person who probably goes to his church, who is probably Black.

These are just my speculations, plus I think this thread is old, as in aged from awhile ago.
Are you kidding me? So its ok to say racist things like that as long as you know the person? Thats total bull.

I don't think there's a soul on the planet that sees my wife as old and homely - and she is 100% la natural.. no make-up, no hair-dye, just fresh off of God's wonderful press... HOT! One can have class and style and not look plastic. Interesting info about JB though. Never knew that.

Do I smell a Thad lynching? Oops! *covers mouth*

Come on people. Sensitivity police have invaded the church as well? Thad attends a mostly-black church, plays some mean black gospel music and is a Christian - and you really want to pull the race card?

Does she shave her legs and arm pits? Does she wear perfume and deoderant? Does she curl her hair? Does she pluck eyebrows. According to your logic she wouldn't be au natural and God isn't pleased. Why don't u guys get some common sense. Not everybody who wears a little makeup looks plastic.

We're allowed to use that word here?

Just wondering.

Admin, maybe its because i am new here, but how can you give Caston a warning for preacher bashing and dont warn Thad for calling Bishop Jakes followers ?

Thad's name calling is just as offensive and i am surprised that the other posters to this thread didnt say anything.

Maybe the reason "other posters to this thread didn't say anything" is because they understood the comment in it's context, which clearly you did not.

Thad was not calling anyone "house negroes". He was quoting the words of G Craige Lewis, who used the term to describe Jakes' followers. Go back and take a look.

You'll see that Thad's post starts off by saying:
"*** HIS COMMENTS ABOUT DR PHIL ***"

"HIS COMMENTS" there refers to C Craige Lewis' comments.

(The original comments can be seen HERE (http://gcraige.blogspot.com/2007/10/church-house-nigga.html))

Brother, you should really pay closer attention to someone's post before you blast people for what they said, (or didn't say).

Yeah, should have said, "That's total heifer"-- if you must criticize something you are unsure about.

philippians chapt 3 verse13-14 says
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

who has fully apprehened nobody our righousness are as filthy rags we have to pray for the saints that God will give them understanding for we are living in the last days and as far as the COOLJC being a black only or Black Jesus one of our leading Apostles is a Jew born and raised {Bishop Fred Rubin} so instead of using this forum as a disrespecting each other let us come and agree lets work on being the church that God is looking for in these last and evil days for you know that confusion is the work of the Devil who is out to destroy so all who read this post lets pray and ask the the Lord Jesus gives us understanding for it not about us it all about him
