It does make sense (Ican't believe I am sying this about dollar) he clarified it with a "small g" We do have dominion over things... in a much lessor way than God of course.

If God (capable of speaking the universe into existence) produced gods (not exactly that capable!), then He didn't quite produce after His kind, now did He? There's something wrong with this picture!
Big difference between creating man in his image and likeness and a horse producing a horse!

BTW, this absurdity is not new. It's been espoused by such great theologians as Benny Hinn, Paul Crouch, and Kenneth Hagin. Dollar is in "good" company! :toofunny

I this as well. When I say it makes sense - I don't extend that to divinity etc. only that we are formed and fashioned in the image of God himself. In this, humanity is unique in the creation.

I believe when God said, "Let US make man in our image after our likeness", He was speaking to the earth.
Observe:
1 Corinthians 15:47-49
[47] The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
[48] As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
[49] And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
We were made in the image of God according to the Spirit but our natural, physical man bears the image of the earth. Therefore, we are not gods.

I know. Just teasin'.
Interesting take, though, seriously. Never heard that one before. Are you in support of theistic evolution? That sounds like something one might say to support it -- God using the Earth as a tool (in a more active role than just providing the dust) to "form" man. You might be interested in the "Evolution and the Bible" thread.

Essentially, God created everything, but evolution (perhaps with God's guidance) developed life.

God did it all, evolution was just one of his tools. There are scriptures that lend credibility to this theory.

Why do you often feign the "hillbilly" talk when it's obvious that you are a thoughtful and well read person?
And don't get me wrong, I have "hillbilly" roots myself; but we preferred to be called "Proud Mountain Folk."

The Bible does say that "Ye are gods..." Jesus said this was stated in the "Law." A quick search of "the Law" reveals no such statement being made explicitly. Psalm 82 however makes the statement "ye are gods" in verse 1, and says in verse 6, "I have said, Ye are gods..." thus referring to what earlier passage?
Michael Heiser (http://www.thedivinecouncil.com/) has some interesting thoughts on this involving the "Divine Council." If you begin reading his stuff, don't take the obvious bait and jump to the conclusion that he's promoting "multiple gods, etc." Much of his work has been as the "anti- Zechariah Stichin" and so you kind of need to get caught up with his use of term in the debate. But it's fascinating stuff. He is "orthodox" Trinitarian and a "solid" Evangelical.
Others take Exodus 22 and it's adminishment, "Thou shalt not revile the gods nor curse the ruler of thy people..." to mean that the "gods" were the human judges among Israel. That's a good approach, however Psalm 82 threatens its "gods" with the judgement, "You shall die as men..." It seems redundant to tell human beings that they will die just like, well, just like human beings.
So who were the gods of Psalm 82? I don't have conclusive answers by any means, just lots of questions.
Of course, Creflo's exposition is problematic to say the least.
