View Full Version : Recommendations For Tulsa Org.'s First GC Speaker

Who do you think should be the featured speaker at the Tulsa groups first General Conference once theyare organized?

I vote for Pastor DePew of Greeley Colorado.

I think he is just the man to root out the internet users (to be known as "liberals" I am sure within their new group) and bring them to ful repentance.

He can also get the new org. off on the right foot by forcibly collecting any and all cell phones in the possession of those at the meeting under the age of 18.

In short a man who can put a capital "H" in their "holiness" movement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bliss

I'd put my money (if I had any) that it will be NW himself.

I think it is all rampant speculation. I am not sure the organizers of the Tulsa meeting even agree on what the outcome of the meeting will be. Certainly this get together can have multiple outcomes and all of them can be positive. Who leads what doesn't even exist yet is speculative gossip at best. :D

Careful.

You can express your opinion without being mean. These are good men doing what they think is right.

If a person decides they can only associate with people who think like them, they are promoting a doctrine of clonliness.

Pastor Depew preached at vaugn Morton's conference this year in Fresno. it was held a few weeks ago.

Isn't Depew the one who spit on a pastor's daughter during a message because she was holding a VCR camera ???

Ahhh, the conspiracy of the expectorating ultraconservative...what was not reported was that there was a grassey- backed man the size of a knoll standing behind the pastor's daughter and someone behind him did the spitting. When Perdew sneezed, the true assasin...I mean spitter, did his evil deed and PD was blamed!!!

Brother Perdew was falsely accused!!!

Actually, Perdew is thrilled about a new ultracon organization because he is the exact opposite of the prodigal son. In his version of the parable, the Mother was a pot smoking party animal so he HAD to leave his brethern!

MAN!, I had this exact same song come to mind when the thought of this Tulsa thing came up.

Wow, read the lyrics, I think Steve Taylor was onto something here...

I'd gone through so much other stuff
that walking down the aisle was tough
but now I know it's not enough
I want to be a clone

I repented there with all my heart
they said that was the way to start
but now you've got to play the part
I want to be a clone

Be a clone and kiss conviction goodnight
cloneliness is next to Godliness, right?
I'm grateful that they show the way
'cause I could never know the way
to serve him on my own
I want to be a clone

They told me that I'd fall away
unless I followed what they say
who needs the Bible anyway?
I want to be a clone

Their language it was new to me
but Christianese got through to me
now I can speak it fluently
I want to be a clone

Send in the clones
Ah, I kind of wanted to tell my friends and people about it, you know
What?
You're still a babe
you have to grow
give it twenty years or so
'cause if you want to be one of his
got to act like one of us

So now I see the whole design
my church is an assembly line
the parts are there
I'm feeling fine
I want to be a clone

I've learned enough to stay afloat
but not so much I rock the boat
I'm glad they shoved it down my throat
I want to be a clone

Everybody must get cloned

So all those who go to the meeting in Tulsa are wanting to be clones?...........hummmmm..........funny to me I have noticed that whatever group you decide that you should run with you tend to become like them.........so in actuality we are are clones.......right???...........

I mean, look at all those who leave the UPCI for reasons of "standards" - within a month or two they all look just exactly alike.........same dress........same hairstyles.......so forth and so on........

Look at those who go to certain meetings.......BOTT for example.......most of them tend to attempt to dress with certain flare..........

Those who make up certain sects of the Pentecostal Movement tend to lean the same way in the way they look and in what they preach........

It is not just us either........Renda and Thad just went to a huge conference in TN and we got pics of the hats.........clones........

I would be careful in the clone talk........because in all reality we all are clones.........now as for me I want to be HIS clone.........

Boy, I am batting .1000 here lately.

I would say with utmost certainty that the curriculum for our New Members Class is all about trying to make clones out of folks. Why must you have to explain why OPs believe like they do, then once they get out of the class they testify of divine revelation.

copy catting is the most sincere form of flattery for those longing to belong and be accepted into a group...right?

Well...um...I am not a clone. This may be a newsflash to you, but you don't have to be one if you don't want to be one.

I do know that for a while, they instructed me, molded me to be a clone, however I was bitten by the bug of non-conformity.

The clone no longer wanted to be a clone....so he could be cloned into another clone...

Why can't people just stick with the word? It must break the heart of God when we waste good pulpit time on this type of stuff.

Dude, some would interpret "Jesus Wept" into some left field doctrine that he couldn't be God because of an unpredictable event that made him cry...but "Jesus Wept" is "The word."

You should have said, why can't people take it line upon line precept upon precept?

I agree about wasting valuable pulpit time and I think we should include preaching to the choir in there too.

My recommendation for the main speaker,
even Presiding Bishop, President, Pope, or whatever title is chosen is:
Bro. Gary Reckart.
He has a way with words.
He stands uncompromisingly for HOLINESS and non conformity.
And he already has a web site which could be used to represent the whole new organization.

I'm appalled no one has publicy suggested the Rckrt univite himself. Rckrt is looking for a bash upci party. The organizers says this isn't a bash upci meeting. Someone should publicly disinvite Rckrt. There will be enough oxygen sucked out of the air without his presence.

Yes, but some make the mistake of thinking that because some principles are more important than standards, that standards aren't important.

KP,

The name thing is my fault. Apparently I was brain dead when I wrote my first post in this thread and remembered his name as "DePew" rather than "Perdew". I did not intentionally mangle his name.

As far as the spitting incident goes to the best of my recollection it was never "debunked" on the forum. There were just conflicting stories of what happened. Some that conflicted were by folks who were actually all there and other posts about it were second hand accounts. Some proclaimed DP's innocence and said he "accidently" happened to spit on the woman while he was berating the host church for videotaping the service while others there felt it was intentional.
