I just found out at lunch today that Leon Frost from Bakersfield, CA is going with the new organization. This is not suprising news but I wonder how this will affect Kevin Bradford. Kevin is a progressive thinker and would be a great pastor, but he may be sucked into the new org with his Father in Law. Any thoughts? Does anyone agree Bradford should do his own thing instead of following FIL?:tease
I had heard that Frost was pulling- Didn't his bible Quizzers just resign from their positions ?? (may be wrong not sure).
are you sure Bradford is progressive? many on this forum would interput that as "liberal' so careful with the terms
how do the youth feel about leaving ?

I spoke with one Youth Leaders at thier church who said they dont really want to travel 12 hours to fellowship. I asked about the churches in their city, and since one church had Jeremy Foster they got disfellowshiped. So it looks like a form of legalism and the people are just going to follow. Kevin is progressive compared to many in those ranks. Remember he was for the big screens at YC and the Drums elevated at YC was all him

Yea you are right about him instituting the screens and all - that was a BIG surprise to many that it came from him.

The strange thing to me is, KB is using a New Guitarist from Redding because Larry was "Too Worldly". However, this Guitarist Does TV advertising up in Redding on a regular basis, Yet Mulling's church was disfellowshipped for having Jeremy ?

I may not have agreed with Vaughn Morton on his stance, but the one thing with VM he was consistant. Frost and the other are not consistant. THey have business owners in their church who advertise on TV and LF himself used to advertise his business on TV. LF send out emails bashing other churchs for having a TV PERSONALITY in Jeremy Foster. Crazy.

Really? Now there is a shell shocker. I think the last straw for many was the divorice and remarriage. talk about an inconsistancy!
Also, their church taught against Christmas for years yet sold Xmas trees in the church parking lot for years. We could never figure that one out

Play it again sports was the name of the business he owned.

My wife ran a boutique and she did not sell pants or jewelry. I am not saying it is wrong but she never did and lost many sales because of it.

I have friends that go to Frost's church and I was told Frost said they are NOT leaving. If something has changed then they have not heard about it yet...so I asked him to listen up for any news

Bro. Frost owned two Play it Again Sports stores in Bakersfield (does not anymore). These stores were advertised on television at one point. One of his store managers was none other than Rev. Jonathan Kendrick, an ultra-con who now pastors in Porterville, CA. Other business owners in Bro. Frost's church have also advertised on television. Given these facts, it certainly is ironic (some would even say hypocritical) that Bro. Frost vehemently opposed Jeremy Foster coming to another UPC church across town

My friends father asked Bro Frost point blank about it. This is what I heard tonight. This was not recently though so maybe he changed his mind

Leon told his youth who they could fellowship with and none of them are in the upci. Do you really think he is going to go back and tell them he made a mistake? ya right! What he needs to do is ask for forgiveness for his character assasination of Jerem Foster and Bro. Mullings. That was real christian like if you ask me!:noidea

Did anyone hear that UPCI Headquarters used to own dozens of televisions at their Hazelwood location???? All housed in the Mary K.
Thankfully they finally axed the "K" ! and sold off the TV's to the local area saints....

He has not left yet? Maybe he will and maybe he won't. Why not do both?

My friend attends the Frost church and according to what he said, Bro. Frost did announce that they were going towards Tulsa but that it wouldn't change anything. They would still go and be a part of the UPC functions...that's the last I heard...

Does this mean it's ok to use TV to make money but wrong to win souls?
