I think it was narrowed down for you... not in the sense of what I wrote but what you recieved from it... Others read differently into it... To me (I know nothing)... it brought some emotions to the top that some either are dealing with or have issues with... I wrote for me...really... when I used Television it was more a message to me than anybody else... but there might be some others who have the same issue it ministered to as well.. when a Man of God preaches not all sermons fit all the folks in the same manner... just the ones that God may be talking to... It just seemed to push some buttons and bring some feelings to the forefront and in my opinion exposed them... (not really in a bad way) but just exposed maybe like a nerve.... Truely I am somewhat suprised at the response's along with the accusations.. . |

I was not surprised at several of them. However, it was a good message for those that have an ear to hear what the spirit is saying to the church. |
RevRandy - I find it difficult, with all the threads on television and all the debate about it, that you were surprised at the response. I think you wrote it and included the television part in an effort to get a response.
I'm sorry, but unless you're incredibly naive, you had to know that including that one sentence would stir some negative responses. As I stated before, it was a great story, up until the one-liner on television. |

Let me tell you something about the way the Word works... When God decided to create birds, this is how he did it: "And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl [that] may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." Gen.1:20 He said one word for the birds--"fowl." But His Word is so powerful that that one single word put the red on the Robin's breast, the blue on the wing of the Jay, the mimicing ability in the song of the Mockingbird, and the talons on the feet of the eagle. When you speak a Word in the Spirit, it has a way of becoming far more than what you even thought of, because the Holy Ghost gets in it and applies it with a marvelous diversity. One of the best measures of how effective a message has been is the loud caterwauling of the carnal. You did good. Don't let the criticism get you down. |
