Name of God speaks of his abundant quality. Reputation is only in the mind of the one that perceives that quality. On a larger scale, if you want to say that God wants to be know for who and what he is, that is a given. But to go about and seek and defend a reputation for himself in the sense that you say that Jesus did, I do not agree. Quote:
Further see my answer above concerning His name. Anyway, this discussion has gone far afield than I care to pursue. |

I took some pictures, so I will post one or two of them on the other (1940s) thread later on. That girl is till a cut-up. Too much monkey business in her for most to handle. |

These new ones seldom do it for me like those did in those days of so long ago. Today I was singing... I know the Lord will make a way for me. I know the Lord will make a way for me. If I live a holy life, shun the wrong and do the right. I know the Lord will make a way for me. Then I began to sing... I know the Lord has laid his hand on me.... I know the Lord has laid his hand on me.... If I live a holy life, shun the wrong and do the right I know the Lord has laid his hand on me.... |

My halo has slipped a few times. In fact my poor halo has fallen in the dirt a few times too. As a matter of fact, my poor halo has been in the dirt, in the fire, gotten somewhat rusty, bent up, warped and so out of shape that I don't even feel comfortable wearing it anymore around all of those good folk whose halo has never even SLIPPED. LAWD! Have mercy one ME! |
