Are either of them in Texas?
I grew up in Dallas and attended Emmanuel UPC til I was about 13.
That church has now moved to Mesquite, TX. and is rather large.
My Pastor at EPC was Bro. Paul Housch. Great man of God.
I remember some Kilgore's from when I was a little girl. I don't know much about the organization now as I have been out of the church for a long time.
I am just surprised at all the seemingly anger ( I don't know if that is the right word ) against the organization and the men of God who seem to be under attack from within and without.

I second that! What neat old pics. Look at those short-sleeved dresses...SCANDALOUS! I am j/k of course. Glad to see that sleeve length didn't matter to some of these pioneers...their focus was much greater.

Revival minded people have a greater focus today than sleeve length, TV, video, internet, etc...

I know I grew up in the south. I am thankful that my church never has been hung up on that type of stuff though.

me too. i came into the church in '98 at age 18 and i thank God that my church was balanced and was the type that believes in letting new converts see things for themselves b/c i didn't make changes overnight. i would have prob. ran away scared if the day after i got the h.g. someone said "now those sleeves you're wearing are not gonna do...THIS is where they need to be". :scripture they loved me for who i was and were there for direction, etc. but noone forced me to do anything.
