Simple, I have not seen it.

does that make my opinion true?

no more than you saying you have seen what "you say" you have seen , true

You are posting your opinion as inspired to you by Dr. Phil.

I just said that .....well.....I don't believe you.

what you are pushing is not common place

Like I told Bro. Randy, maybe it is reverse

maybe you are just following the sinful world in search of acceptance....

pretty silly huh?

What you are saying is simply not true of ALL conservative apostolic, so you cannot apply your reasoning across the board. Yes, I have noticed that you have qualified your statements in later posts, but it appears as if you have turned your animosity against "standards" into a mini-religion, and I simply feel that is as wrong as what the people you are condemning are doing.

Anyway, obviously this is some kind of game for you, and you are deriving some perverse pleasure out of it, so I will leave you to it. I never get involved in these discussions unless I am really bothered by the spirits that I see at play in them, so I will have to leave you to the fun, it just isn't for me.

perverse spirits? a little strong don't you think? just because I enjoy a good intellectual spar doesn't make one perverse. God bless you, I enjoyed the conversation.

She is very hungry but she is hesitant about standards and i've just told her not to worry about all of that for now. I'm afraid the pastor of the church she visits might try to make it an issue b/c they are VERY conservative. It's a tough situation. Anyone ever had visitors "run away" b/c of this?

Yes they have and they do run away!!!!

:blissI would tell here to run away from that place!!!:bliss

Well, thanks for the answer. At least I understand your comments. Sorry for the confusion, simply looking for clarification.

If you feel like you have to sidestep and be all secretive of the standards issues when witnessing, and then sneak them in once a person is good and hooked, well doesn't that tell you something?

When I was first witnessed too, and came to chuch, all I was told was that Jesus loved me just the way I was, and that he wanted nothing more than to have a relationship with me. And that there was nothing I could do to earn my salvation, that Jesus did it all for me. Oh, well, there were 3 steps that I needed to do, but that was it.

Except, for once I did the 3 steps, then it turned out that Jesus didn't love me just the way I was, and he wanted a whole lot more than just a relationship, oh, and the steps I needed to do? Turns out they were neverending.

I don't know. Maybe I would have handled it better if it has been clearly and honestly portrayed upfront.

This would be hilarious if not for the fact that it is tragic and true!!! :tantrum:ursofunny

I have no problem with personal convictions, however, these convictions cannot lie to our children. If a child wants to know why, we should tell them why. Not use God as a crutch. We do this because... and tell the truth. Children will appreciate it and then as they grow older be able to properly discern truth. God bless, it was nice talking to you. Thanks

All your opinion,

thats why your not getting anywhere with it.

What you are stating here is simply not wide spread

lol ... and ...lol...definitly....lol....not .....tradgic !!!!!!!!!!

You got that right. Tragic and sad comes to mind. People see God through us and if we require what God doesn't require, we attempt to become holier than God. This my friends is what Satan did in the garden.
