Ok

My paraphrase was really bad. Thanks for giving the correct version. It is sad that this statement has a lot of truth to it.

You're welcome, and thank you for your kindness. :)

Ghandi would of liked you.

From my observations and interactions with liberals, there is alot of "making fun" and pointing fingers that goes on. All of it is NOT in good fun either.

Even still, that would be OK if it weren't for the fact that this same "making fun" and pointing fingers is the very reason some liberals became liberal in the first place. They didn't like it so they left. And while claiming to be "better" for it, they are actually no better because they are guilty of the same.

Bottom line...No one is better than anyone else. We are all imperfect people striving to make heaven our home. At least, thats what we are supposed to be striving for.

Just my two cents! (And if my liberal friends want to throw something at me, I prefer oranges instead of tomatoes! :) )

(1) Well no kidding Sherlock!

Now if you can connect being born Black with choosing to live a lifestyle while condemning others who don't follow you to the "t" and compelling others to follow you to the "t" with opinions taught as doctrine and real scripture manipulated, then maybe you will make sense.

(2) Those who would attach standards to the Acts 2:38 message (as in giving it the same significance as Acts 2:38) are adding to the Word of the Lord. To call them "legalist" is polite. The Book of Revelations tells the end of those who add to the Word of God.

My beef is with legalists and hypocrites-- to me they are one in the same. There is NOTHING righteous or honest or Christ like about being a minister in an organization that expects you to not have a tv, but you have one any way and then you hide it when your Pastor comes to your house! What kind of mess is that! That guy is not struggling with a sin, he's just being a hypocrite!

For the sin that I wrestle with, I call it sin and don't try to justify it.

If it's not sin to have a tv, then don't be a preacher in an organization that says it is! And DON'T hide the stupid thing from your Pastor when he comes over because GOD is our Judge, not the Pastor.

Mr. Epley,

You owe me an apology. Your response was completely off topic and senseless-- no to mention offensive on several levels.

I didn't start this thread. Given the law of averages, I'd say the person who started this thread was not Black, but I'm not sure. I wasn't joking at all with my posts, but my post was not directed at any one person, definitely not you.

I don't know much about you. I do know that I have never disrespected you before.

You hit below the belt, took a personal shot at me, for no reason at all.

I hope you get the chance to get back online and square this away soon.
I hope all is well with you.

You might be a legalist if you found out the minister who baptized you in JN backslid.

So you want to get baptized again by a real man of God.
