We are still under a tornado watch here. The radar doesn't look real bad near us, but there are some areas of storms not far from here. My daughter is about to leave work on her way home.

We had been under a tornado watch-- but they hadn't given much detail on the radio stations. They never do give a lot of info here unless things start happening.

I'm just thankful that so much technology is available. At least we can have some warning something like this is coming and have time to get to a safe place.

I'd been following the coverage on the internet TV website, and just before we left for church-- they had said there was a tornado that would pass through the area at a certain time. We got to church... and had been there less than 10 minutes when the worst of it passed over.

We still had a great service at church though. The pastor says he wishes we could have Bro Winslow come to preach three or four times a year. :D

*Man, I know I'm not used to being up trying to type at this hour. I went back to proofread this and had left out three words. LOL

My daughter just pulled into the driveway.... safe and sound. I can finally go get a little sleep. I have to be back up at 4:45 to get the hubby off to work.

He is good guy. I enjoy preaching for him when I go home. He and his entire family are so much fun to be around.

From Associated Press
February 06, 2008
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The number killed in a deadly Southern storm climbed to 26 early Wednesday with the confirmation that four people were killed by severe storms moving through the county northwest of Nashhville.

Besides the four, several were injured, said Angela Alexander, spokeswoman for Sumner Regional Medical Center.

The total number dead included 11 in Arkansas, 12 in Tennessee, and three in Kentucky. Storms also slammed Mississippi.

We need to remember the families of those 26 in prayer. This is a hard time for them. Some of them may be left with nothing due to the storm and now the death of a loved one.

LORD, be comfort these people...

Mark,

They had predicted really bad storms the day before. Yesterday the schools in MS and Memphis City closed at 12:30 expecting the storms. However, the "surprise" of it was they just popped up out of nowhere around 5:00 p.m. There wasn't a "line" of storms to watch - they just developed everywhere as they predicted.

The devastation at the dorms of Union University is unreal - - a miracle of God no one was killed or injured too badly.

More storms today, but not as severe. Thanks everyone for the prayers - - there are families that are hurting this morning.

Also, I'm sure Sherri's church will be able to reach out the the community so we need to pray for them as they offer their Love and Truth to those needing help.
