Sarah, the esater bunny doesnt hide the eggs. the easter bunny brings the basket of chocolate bunnies and new underwear.

Do you doubt a Christian would tell their child that Santa brought the presents?

I wouldn't and never have not even when he was younger. I have always told him that we bought the gifts and that santa is not real. I think it is awful to lie to children about such things. I think it was James Dobson that said if you tell your child santa is real and they find out he isn't, they may think the same thing about God.

I remember hunting eggs on Easter after Sunday School. We always had the story of the resurrection and then we would hunt eggs after church. I had no idea that it was such an issue until I got grown. lol

Those are my memories as well. Sunday School was all about the Easter story. Not only that but it built from the week before. we had palm sunday, then we had a week of expectation coming up to easter. Easter was always this huge event. everyone envited people, SS was all about Jesus and the cross, and the resurection. Then the service was soooo packed with visitors and family and the sermon was about the same. It was about JESUS not the easter bunny.

then all the kids went out and hunted eggs in their new easter outfits. It was always a big deal.

I was grown before I knew anyone did it differernt. we had ONE COUPLE in our church that decided it was all pagan and they ended up ruining it for everyone. cant offend the holy folk. silly.

Can it be said that all you do is jump from thread to thread trying to rile people up?

Is that all you are here to do?

Now behave yourself young man.

(Releases DA's ear hoping he will behave now and try to make a comment that will add to the discussion rather than just adding discussion.)

I don't doubt that at all...

But many do...

And by that same token I don't see why those same people would not tell their kids the same thing about the easter bunny.

My mother tried her best to convince me Santa was real. I never bought it :nah .... much to her consternation. LOL. :)

Never damaged or hurt me in any way though. Children grow up understanding the difference between fairy tales and real life.

You have the ministry of riling people up?

I thought that ministry was already taken.
