How in the world have Timmy and I made it so long on this forum without being banned? If it is against the rules to imply that the Bible is in anyway "errant".

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking to be banned. I am simply really really confused. I mean there was a whole thread called "My Objections to the Bible", like a year ago, and then it was bumped again maybe a month ago. Why was that thread allowed to exist? Why am I allowed to exist?

I feel like I've been allowed to stay up until midnight for years, only to suddenly find out that my bedtime has always been 10, and that I'm in big big trouble.

Ok...I am now going to go huddle in the corner and cry...

I dont have a problem with them praying for what they think people need- but do have a problem if it's being said to them via an ear piece.

Anyway- I think the timing was horrible. I think PR forgets that the media is going to take his words and run with them. Can't say I agree with him either-

You want to show the wrath of God on California? No fires...we do that every year. No earthquakes, been there done that. No mud slides, happens after every fire season.

Make a blizzard hit Southern California and maybe we'll consider it the wrath of God.

Or a hurricane, now that would be a miracle.

But if it's an earth quake, nobody is gonna notice

If you ever see them they are not merely praying for what they think someone needs. They pray each person about 5 times each for someone God just showed them is suffering some sickness....day after day after day. I mean if they are that good and God is feeding them all that information and people are getting healed, have an entire show where God keeps feeding you these images of real people suffering and pray for them all to be healed...don't stop just because that segment of the show is running out of time.

Here is a saying Im gonna coin...true prophets don't watch the clock :ursofunny

Mich and for others, if you want to imply that about the bible we ask that you do that in the section we have strictly for theological debate.

I love that part of the show! (TIC!) They're so funny, squinting into the camera so earnestly n stuff. :toofunny

BTW, I don't think they have an earpiece. Don't really need one. They can just make stuff up. "There's someone with a pain in their leg. The left leg, I think. Yes. Left leg. And right now, you are being healed." It's not that hard, really.

As Prax pointed out, there is some debate allowed, but not in the main forum. Also, a casual implication or mention here and there is one thing, but when it seems the whole thread is about to go down that path, I can see the reason for a refocus!

Anyone who has survived on this forum has done so because they know how to present their dissenting views with a good attitude, know when to push the parameters and know when to back down. You've mastered that art, as has Timmy! Let other people take their turn (@ learning the ropes)! :D :D :D
