But....we shouldn't broadcast our imperfections to the point that God loves and accepts us as we are. I believe God wants us to at least strive to be better and become an example of how others with imperfections can overcome and live a victorious life!

Sin is sin.

But I sure am glad that God didn't throw this lump of clay away-- or anyone who has a desire to live for the Lord.

I have a problem with folks who call themselves Christian but revel in sin as if it is not wrong. The Bible tells us to mark those and to simply disfellowship them-- in hopes that the shunning will lead to an end to the open rebellion and to the beginning of repentance and restoration.

"Gay Apostolics", "J W's", "Mormons"-- they are all in the same hell-bound casket unless they repent.

And then God has to grant them repentance, which is another can of worms....

That's the problem the church shouldn't be filled with them folks, confront them, rebuke them and if no repentance then have nothing to do with them not even eat a biscuit with them.

JD your right. All of us are struggling in some area of our lives at this present moment and all of us repent and ask forgiveness for our sins daily. One may be struggling with lust, another lying, another gossiping, another fornication, adultery and yes homosexuality.

Any individual who is PURPOSELY and INTENTIONALLY living in a manner that is opposed to God's word CANT be a true believer. PERIOD. You cant be a spirit filled person who is intentionally living a gay, adulterous, lying, fornicating, gossiping, hateful, jealousy, spiteful lifestyle.

There is a difference between living in open rebellion and putting the carnal mind and its activities under subjection.

Homosexuality is not natural. The body was not made for "that." And the behavior is never sanctified like natural man/woman relations is in marriage. Guess I'm just rambling.

That says it all.
Good to see there are still some folks can tell it straight, just like it is.

There are obviously some folks, church folks, who have difficulty just calling sin sin. Or if they do call it sin, they feel the need to sugarcoat it first.

Absurd.
And sad.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

1 Timothy 5:20
Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Titus 1:13
This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

Titus 2:15
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Passage Ephesians 5:11:

11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Fritz, if you had any idea as to what a weak cowardly cretin I was before I found this power that transformed me into an God loving, scripture obeying, devil hating, sinner loving defender of the common faith you'd that's a beautiful post! Ha ha ha, when I post a little meat amongst a bunch of milk drinker's, I'm percieved as an orgre and a troll, know what I mean? I love everybody, including unnatural men and women(homosexuals) included, but like 2Corinthians 12:15 .........nevertheless, the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved. It's all good, my brother... Don't let the milk-drinkers get ya down. :thumbsup

It's not the natural sin I'm worried about, but rather the UNNATURAL sin... All of my sins past, present and future are Grade A 100% natural, good ol' fashioned American sins. I got none of them left-wing, abominable commie sins I hear about from them limp-wristed, piano playin' demon'crats (can I get an amen?). Then there's my three-strikes-and-your-out sinner policy. I start out hatin' the sin and lovin' the sinner, but after strike three it becomes out-and-out hate for the sin AND the sinner. I will not abide sin amongst my presence for an extended period of time. Upon submitting proper notice, I will no longer break bread, make eye contact or walk on the same side of the road as one of them sweet-natured, tap-dancin', lily-livered unnatural sinners I keep hearing about.

Whew. That was fun. :ursofunny

All the funnin' aside - you sound like a good dude. God bless. ;)

Reading your post you sound like you dont sin at all. lol.:ursofunny

I'm not sinless. I have good days and bad days. I have days of victory and days of failure. I imagine my struggles with sin are no different than theirs.

And yes...I do need a miracle in my life to help me overcome some things. I do know this...even if that miracle never comes on this side...it will come when I'm glorified and like him.

Do you consider your uncle saved?

I'd welcome an individual that wrestled with the temptation but rejected it than someone that thought it was God's will for him to sodomize another man.
