Re: The Prodigal - A NT teaching on finance and gi
I must be a borderline prodigal. My bills all get paid in time. I give to the work of God. My credit card debt is < $500 but I'm not as thrifty and as good a steward as I should be. The great motivators in your post for me were from the word of God. I want to be counted faithful and trusted of God with the true riches.
1) I want to be a good steward of what God has given me so that He receives glory. 2) Luke 16: 10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? Thanks for bumping this James. Be assured when you stand before Him to give an accounting of your life you will be asked not how you managed your time, gifts, and talents which He brought into your life, but your personal finances as well. |
