Change any rule, attempt to change any law, vote for any junkyard dog as long as we don't cross the 'party line'. Bob Schieffer on CBS this morning said that Chappiquiddick was the thing that hung over TK's head, and kept him from the presidency. But he also said that TK was a flawed man who went on to do some good things. I'm sure the commentators and those doing the research will find the things to which Mr. Schieffer referred. As you said, at the moment our prayers are with the family...this is the 2nd family death in as many weeks. |
Re: Sen. Edward Kennedy dies
Ted Kennedy was an American political figure. That's all I'll say! :)

Re: Sen. Edward Kennedy dies
I prayed for years that God would bring this man down. He supported every abomination that God was against.
I think he was the worst senator we ever had in the American congress. I hope his soul was right with God, but I am so glad he is out of power, and pray they don't elect someone of his equal or worse. I also think it was ridiculous that they woke the president up to tell him he passed. Like this was a major occurance that he needed to be woke up for! Nuts!! |
Re: Sen. Edward Kennedy dies
despite the shadow of Chappaquiddick
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/1517548.stm The BBC can speak more than the American liberal media. Kennedy was strong for abortion and Eunice Kennedy Shriver was pro life. |
Re: Sen. Edward Kennedy dies
Whatever you believe about his lifestyle or his politics, Ted Kennedy will be remembered as a statesman... His family has given much to this country; A son who died in war; a son who died as President; a son who died while running for president; and now, a son who has died in the office of senator.

This was first: Politization of Kennedy's death August 26, 2009 - 07:03 ET by ThisnThat And who was first to make his death political? Pelosi, of course. She immediately linked his death to "passing health care reform this year". |
Re: Sen. Edward Kennedy dies
Put politics and his actions aside. He is dead. Let the man rest. His soul and eternal destiney in the hand of God.
