It has always been my understanding that standards and rules and guidelines were not heaven or hell issues, but rather preferences, protective measures, boundaries, or issues of personal consecration. I was not aware that a large majority of the UPCI ministerial constituency taught these things as heaven/hell issues or salvational issues.

I guess I've been in the dark all these years. So enlighten me.

Oops......LOL!

I voted number one. I teach and preach standards and that they are salvational.

Agreed. Holiness is to be in all areas of life, and without it, no man shall see the Lord.

If standards are heaven or hell issues than there would be ONE uniformed standard. Ultra-cons can't even agree on sleeve length and internet and they have the audacity to tell me if I don't follow their "standards" I'll be lost? My suggestion is to lock all the preachers in one room until they come up with one uniformed list of rules.

At one time we preach it as salvation, heaven or hell, no ifs or buts!

And people wonder why when someone mentions holiness, people start talking about clothing.

Bill, what are your standards that you live by that make you dress differently than other modestly dressed men in the world?
