The UCs in the fellowship will never maintain perpetual fellowship with an organzation that allows such liberties among their churches and ministers. Exactly! That is why I think if this resolution fails or is postponed again it is only postponing the inevitable.
Ultra cons have many more things besides the TV issue they are unhappy about so their slow march toward starting a new organization proceeds.
While I beleive the AMC organizers when they say their intent was not to form such an org. the fact of the matter is that it has united ultra cons of every stripe (AMF, UPC, ALJC, GIB) in a way they never did before and those new relationships, I believe, have led to a new org. being more viable.
On the liberal side preachers and churches will just keep trickling away as a church becomes large enough to be self sufficient and a pastor feels that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks in leaving. For these men the control issue of restraining them from a technology that can help fulfill the great commission will be a deciding factor in some cases.
