Oh such praying she could do and the sweetest spirit.

My Dad said that she was everything that he ever wanted in a wife and she was every thing I ever wanted in a Mom.

Mom was a Christian that believed in living for God 24/7.

I miss her.

Wish she was here I would buy her a corsage and give her my biggest hug and tell her Happy Mother's Day, MOM!

Bro. Old Paths,

How sweet! I had one of those too! Invaluable indeed! You can

read about mine on the "What Does Mother's Day Mean To You".

It's on page 2, but I have a feeling it will come to the front page

when Bro. Chosenbyone gets home from visiting his dear Mom today.

Precious Memories, how they linger!!

Oh, Bro. Ferd, you noticed it too!! I noticed earlier today

the "What Mother's Day Means To Me" thread was quickly

going off of the front page and continues to go farther away.

Just wonder if that might be one of the problems of today.

Many mothers have seemingly lost that special place in the

heart of our families, our children and our nation. I guess we

will see what happens Father's Day. One of the ten command-

ments commands us to "Honour thy Father and thy Mother that

thy days may be long upon the earth .." I personally know that

there is not the love and respect in many cases of parents. But

love and respect cannot be forced, it must be earned. So if

the children do not show love and respect for their parents, it is

not the children's fault altogether, but it could just be the parents

fault. There is a reason we are told to train up our children in the

way they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from

that training. After they mature, they know why they were taught

what they were taught. It was Biblical principal.

I am not pointing a finger at anyone. Just speaking in general. We

do have some serious problems in America and we had better start

investigating why and what the problem is. If your plumbing in out of

order, eventually it will back up on you. Then it gets to smelling. So

it is better to get what's out of order straightened out before the floods

come. It's better to wade in a little water than to try to swim in sewage

up to our necks!!!

Blessings on all the mothers everywhere and may God give us wisdom to

see and do what needs to be done, in Jesus Name!! Maybe we need to get

down on our knees so we can see the problems better!!!

While I had a wonder Mom and a Christian home my wife is another story.

Her Mom and Dad would fight, scream, throw things at each other while the kids sat in dark rooms scared out of their minds.

After their divorce, my wife as a 12 year old stayed a while with her Dad and brothers, but that didn't work out and her older sister that had married early to get out of the home came and got her.

For the next few years she was shifted between her sister and her mother.

Her salvation came when her sister attended a little home mission Apostolic church and my wife was baptized in Jesus Name and received the Holy Ghost".

After we married and our first daughter was born Sis. Old Paths told me that "everything I lacked and wanted in a mother I am going to give my child.

Over 40 years later tonight I am babysitting while my oldest and youngest daughter attend a Mothers and Daughters banquet to honor theie Mom.

Tomorrow my other two daughter are coming and along with the two that are already here are gong to take their Mom out for lunch.

They said I could come along. :D

Not only have I had a wonderful Mother, but the Mother of my girls is an AWESOME Mom.

Bro. Old Paths,

What a wonderful testimony of God's grace and mercy.

Seems so many times God will link two people from two totally different

backgrounds and entirely change the next generation and generations

to come. But it is always when they come to God in Spirit and in Truth!

I have seen it happen many times in our extended family. God is great

and greatly to be praised. I could write a book. Perhaps one day I will.

Blessings,

Excellent post.

I've been trying to decide what you write about my mom. I will submit mine tomorrow.

Sis. Tamor,

How IS your Mom doing! Is she over her treatments!

Did you read my post on the "What Mother's Day Means

To Me" thread! There is a picture of my late Mother there also.

I pray you have a great Mother's Day. You do have a

child or children, don't you! There are so many on the

forum sometimes I forget who has children and who doesn't.

I love mothers and children. Would be a sad world without

them!!

Blessings,

Thank you so much for asking! She actually had her last chemo treatment TODAY. Finished just in time for Mother's Day. We go see her surgeon Tuesday for her follow up appointment and find out how much more it has shrunk and if he still wants to do surgery. I will post an update when we find out so everyone can be praying for her.

And yes, I do have four children - a blended family ranging from 22 to 16, and an awesome two year old grandson!!

Bro. Scott,

Someone sure did something right! You are one of the kindest, most

considerate, humble gentlemen I have witnessed! God certainly has

had His Hand upon your life. That proves He cares for you, but He

also cared for your mother and father also. What they could not do,

He allowed your grandmother and others to "Help". God will fill the

gaps with others for those not able or capable of caring for His little

lambs!! Isn't He SO WONDERFUL!!! He smiled upon your family by

bringing you to the truth. Those two little daughters are blessed!

Bro. Scott, May the LORD JESUS bless you, and your sweet wife and

children, in Jesus Name!!!

Blessings,

Falla39
