Divine revelation

Great Post! The scripture quoted was one my late father loved. I didn't understand it when, as my pastor, he would quote it quite often. I have come to better understand it as a more mature adult. I love it and it is one of my favorites also, along with: "The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just". Prov. 3:33 "The memory of the just is blessed: But the name of the wicked shall rot". Prov. 10:7 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighted greatly in his commandments. His seed (children) shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Ps. 112:1,2 "Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered". "Most men will proclaim everyone his own goodness,: but a faithful man who can find"? Prov. 20:6 "The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him". Prov. 20: 7 "And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vine- yards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed (children) of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear". Isaiah 65: 21-24 Who would not want to carry on the heritage of the just man, the righteous man and the faithful man! The blessed man! Ps. 14:5, ".....for God is in the generation of the righteous". God made man to be upright and may provision for him to partake of His righteousness. He provided the power for man to be able to do right. By looking to Him as a loving Father to provide what we needed. Maybe we feel we do not have a chance to be what we need to be to pass on to our children. Hey, it didn't start with me, but what was given or passed on to me, I am desperately endeavoring by the grace and mercy of God to pass it on to my children and to support them in passing it on to their children. It started with my maternal grandmother and her young son, my dad, who was 14 yrs old at the time. (1933) Our grandchildren are fifth generation. Our oldest grandson, and the only one married, will possibly start another generation, our great-grand- children. He is assisting the pastor here. His great grandfather, my dad, who founded this assembly, along with his dear wife (my mother) would be so proud to know the work they laboured for so faithfully, while raising eleven children, the youngest born the same year they started the work in 1958, is continuing on! That's the way it works, from family to family, from generation to generation. I can assure you, old Noah wasn't worried about having just family on board! May these words encourage someone today to get started on YOUR part in making sure the "LORD remains in YOUR generation! Get busy! You've got work to do, but you won't have to go it all alone, for He'll go with you, He'll go with you. You won't have to go it all alone. Someone's already been down the road before you!!! His Name is JESUS!! Blessings, Falla39 |

Wonderful scriptures, sister. As David, I meditate on them day and night.
Like yours, my grandchildren are are 6th maternal generation Pentecost and 5th generation paternally. I've done all that I know how to do to instill in them the very thing that my mother and father pounded into me everyday. I still pour it into my grown and married children and pour it into the grandchildren too. I am encouraged that my grandchildren will carry this blessed truth forward too. Two Sunday nights ago, my seven year old grandson was praying in the altar. It was something to behold as this little fellows traveled for way over an hour. It caught the attention of the Pastor and Bishop Kilgore too as they watched this little fellow travailing. You are so wise to have poured what you have received into your own children. Rest assured your grandchildren will do the same. God bless you, sister. Thanks again for allowing me to read those blessed words from the Word of God again. |
